@@GonsoiI only talk about public education because rich people already have the knowledge and resources. A good education is not based on teachers or regulations but on values. If there are values I will provide for my family but if there are no values there can't be good education. I have seen children with wonderful teachers who do not learn anything and children only with books that are eating the world, so a good education must give good values, but if a child had a terrible life, most likely he will not want to learn. you must make people fall in love with this life, there is no other way.

We don't speak Spanish in Chile, we speak Castellano (Chileno). While the term is normally used to describe European Spanish (region of Castilla), it is also used in Chile, Peru and Argentina. The differences between it and Spanish is similar to the differences between American and British English. Also, to claim most people in Chile are Christians is flat out wrong as I'm pretty sure most are Catholics (not the same). Also, one important fact you forgot to mention is that Chile is one of the most isolated countries in the world, Australia being another one. For that very reason, import laws are very strict and even forgetting to declare an apple or similar food on your flight to Chile will land you a hefty fine or worse. Stuff like that.

Well, I lived in Chile for half a year and my boyfriend is Chilean. I can provide some realistic pros and cons. This video has covered very obvious cons. There are more. The pros are definitely the beautiful Chilean people. They are the sweetest and it's very easy to make friends. People are very polite. Chile, as mentioned above has a beautiful nature. However, groceries are extremely expensive. I am from Europe and the prices there literally shocked the hell out of me. Another issue is big segregation and street safety. You need to be careful with your personal belongings outside, hide your phone otherwise you will get robbed. Only a handful of districts (las condes, providencia,Vitacura and a few more) are on par with the European life standard, the rest feels like any other Latin American country. There is a migration crisis too. Therefore there is a lot of illegal immigrants, beggars and homeless. Those tents are everywhere, including the historical center. It's sad. I hope this situation will improve. I still recommend to visit and experience Chile for yourself

@@gabrielruizcortes472 it is safer in the smaller cities of the South, it's true. But you can't deny safety across Chile has been declining. Especially in the North and the Central part. The coastal region too. I found Valparaiso to be even less safe than Santiago. However, yes, the South situation is undeniably better. Partly because it's more remote and has a smaller population. Plus, illegal immigrants tend to stay either in the North or go to other bigger cities of Central Chile

While the mean temperatures are usually between 7 and 20 degrees celcius, it’s very normal to see various moments in the day or night where the temperature will reach extremes, it’s normal for winters to have many days around 0 degrees in winter and seeing afternoons with 30+ degrees are getting more common each year! (In Santiago) Homes and apartment buildings built in the last 5~10 years will usually be really well done on the climatic side (and the seismological side for lot longer! Thank god!) to compensate for that without aircon, but it makes commuting and living in old homes (that are really common) a total nightmare sometimes. Thank you for making a video about Chile!

Great video but ...... Please do some coaching in English with stress in entonation as well as how to pronounciation in Spanish. Would make the whole video watching an enjoyable experience instead of just feeling that pain listening to the almost robot reading voice with pronunciation mistakes 🎉

Similar. Higher Education is free in Argentina however their currency is constantly devalued due to inflation problems. If you can get payed in dollars it would be best. Chile's economy is traditionally more stable but it's very expensive, higher education is among the best rated in Latin America, however they are expensive. The prices of a developed country without the developed salary/income. Both are great countries to live in, provided you can secure a high payed job. Other great options in Latin America are Uruguay and Costa Rica. 🙂

As a chiliean, Chile is a pretty good country but rn it isn’t doing so good economically. If anyone wants to move I would recommend them to do it once we have a new president because this one is basically ruining the country and trying to get it to be like Venezuela, so I would recommend u to move in 2026 because that’s when I think our economy will be better and it’ll be safer than it is now.

I was riding on a bus down Alameda Ave. (downtown Santiago's main avenue), and a group of young Venezuelans forced their way onto the bus and got us all passengers robbed, gun- and knife-pointed in broad daylight. Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but you should update your sources before publishing idyllic bs. That's the way the cookie crumbles in my country nowadays.

I think Chile has gone down hill over the last 5 years, it's a shame as it came very close to becoming a true first world country. But open borders policy (which has been curtailed a bit) made it easier for Narcos to get their men in, and their product. Which created more addicts, hence more crime. But also the immigration allowed wages to stay low while housing costs (and costs in general) went up so many young Chileans opted to become a career criminal or opportunistic crime to top up a low wage, or make a living if unable to find work. It was effectively a double whammy effect. And all the crime hurts business which can end up driving them out of town or neighbourhoods which hurts an economy even further. It's not in a good place compared to 10 years ago. Chile's resources, the copper, good agriculture and fisheries, the lithium, the green hydrogen potential h as given it a lifeline for the crisis though so it's not over yet. Hope remains.

I will point out the bad things that no one talks about. They always have a protest/strikes going on. In other words, this affects directly the consumers and residents. These strikes usually turn very violent. I was caught up in one of them and almost was striked on head with molotov cocktail ! Everything closes super early, including banks and they even close the churches! They have an insane amount of national holidays. Meaning EVERYTHING is closed constantly! The crime has increased in the last few decades due to insane immigration by poor low lives individuals moving from poor high crime countries. You can get robbed at knife point in broad daylight! These are just some of the things no one talks about.
