About Sweet Briar Farm
We are a small farm located in Central/Northern Michigan. We farm every inch of our 6 acres. We breed Registered Dairy Goats, Dexter Cattle, and Heritage Hogs. Clean healthy food is important to us and we like to produce the majority of our food on the farm and we grow and raise enough to sell to local customers. In 2019 we added honeybees to the farm and have had as many as 30 active hives producing honey for us.
Our goats include Nubian goats, Mini Nubian, and Nigerian Dwarf goats.
Our Heritage Hogs include: Hereford

Hi. We used to struggle with the cattle too. We started the rotational grazing with the poly wires. Once the cows are onto it they are easy to move. We use the poly alot in our working pens to sort the cows. Most of the time it does not need to be powered up. Even two people walking with a poly wire is all it takes to move a bunch of cows.

LOLOL - For all the Briarian Fans: Michigan has a lower and upper pennisula. The people living in the upper call themselves Yuppers (and are very proud about it). Anyone living in the lower penniscula or UNDER the Mackinaw Bridge are called Trolls (mostly by the Yuppers LOL). Michigan history is quite interesting in fact.@@SweetBriarFarmMichigan
