@@JeanEstevez No you don't have to re-cycle your aquarium. Just take care to keep your biologicals wet and go light on the feeding for the first couple weeks after the move/transfer

Looking forward to the finish. The sun on the black acrylic combined with the cold temps was probably the last straw. You'll be more happy with a new stand to match the rest of your studio anyways.

I purchased a similar sized tank, 3'x3'x18", with that exact same style stand, the stand had crack down the side that formed very similar to yours. The previous owners had slathered a bunch of silicone on the crack but I didn't trust it. I built a classic 2x4 stand with plywood top for much better support.

Jake, you mentioned not using the VHO lights due to wattage, I am curious how many watts you are using for the lighting on your red sea peninsula (maybe its a waterbox?). I have a giesemann spectra I am putting over a 300 deep dimension and was curious how much wattage I could really save by going with LED. SPS heavy.

@@oilyotter6297 I know, I've been in the hobby longer than 15 years and I've never seen a stand made purely of acrylic. I've seen people use acrylic as side panels, but the support of the tank as acrylic seems very odd and out there. Also unless there was a missing piece in the middle what supports the middle of the tank?
