I love your movie room. It can easily be seen that you really put your heart and soul into it. Your The Shining carpet adds a nice personal touch. I have to agree with you it's always going to be a work in progress. It's a collection I am incredibly proud of and the way I have it set up in this room is perfection in my eyes. The last thing I ever want is for a room to feel cluttered but thankfully this is not the case. Well not yet but I don't think I'll ever let it get that way. The claws between the chairs look great bud, nice spot. I really like that rug too, it really pops in your movie room. I reckon that’s a brilliant idea having the lights in the new shelves, they’ll look fantastic in the evenings. Every time I look at your movie room Keith, I just go wow that’s awesome. Yeah I have to admit out of everything that we have done in terms of changes to that room The Shining carpet was such a nice touch and it was a welcome addition to that room. It does help that I have the other movie room inside the house. So when things get a little bit tight in here I can simply remove certain items. We couldn't be happier with the carpet. It adds so much to the room. Thank you so much David for checking it out

It's great to have a collection like that but sometimes when you're watching movies you find yourself not watching the movie instead you're looking at the entire room. The novelty of this collection has never worn off and I prayed that it never does. Everyday I walk into that room wandering how I put a collection like this together. Hopefully I can get the back wall looking as well as the rest of the room and I'm sure I will do an update when we get it sorted. Hi Keith, i wasnt able to check any videos last few days, glad to see you're still somehow finding space in there and nice to see the rug turned out as you wanted. That was funny with caeser and joker faces, and i always thought it be great having big editions facing outward showing the art would be amazing on one long shelf and you have it with filmarena editions, and of course some steelbooks. At least with a break in announcements you have time to plan ahead for space. That was a good alteration on the chairs, they're like a fusion of imax and regular cinema seats now.

The Shining rug was such a huge deal and like I said it's the first thing you notice when you walk in here. Like I said in the video the one thing I love about mounting Steelbooks is you can always change them and subtle changes like that can make a difference. It's always great going through your Steelbooks trying to find that one good one to put up. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and check it out

Your room is great, id love to sit in something like that. It's not like some cinema rooms you see which are devoid of any personality. And you're right about DVDs and Blu-ray's looking better in white cabinets, i changed to white billy units from ikea and it was the best decision i made.

When we originally designed that room we wanted to do a black and white theme to it. But it's only when we painted everything white when we noticed it looked so much better and that's why I'm hoping to change what's behind me to White shelving as well. I'm not going to lie I wasn't particularly happy about it. I have said it so many times when it comes to those film vault range what would have made them that little bit better would be to have Steel books inside them and now we are getting separate releases. Just another cash grab unfortunately. Having said that I have pre-ordered Jaws. But I'm not getting anymore

Like I said in the video John if I can make any adjustments to that room to make everything feel better I will definitely do it and I'm sure I will do an update video and share everything that we are going to be doing with the back wall. Fingers crossed it turns out as beautiful as we are hoping it will. As for my steelbooks if you notice they are all in protective plastic cases and what I did was I put on double-sided velcro and that's how I mounted them. I was going to use magnets but apparently they can damage the Steelbooks so I didn't want to risk anything like that. It's a pretty cool idea because like I said in the video you can keep changing them whenever you please. Thank you so much for taking the time my friend to stop by and check out some of my changes

@@millerman9991 Hi Keith, the double-sided Velcro method allows for a nice clean, floating look. They display well. I use DVD CollectorMount (bought them on Etsy) with my wall-mounted steelbooks. They allow for easy change, and I also keep my steelbooks in protector cases (mostly Malko), whether on display or not.

I must check out that DVD collector Mount that you are talking about because I am thinking about putting a few more up around the room. I think it's very important to keep them in protective cases because you never know. At least it gives you that peace of mind.

Hey Keith, room is looking great. i’ve organized the movies several ways myself and I’ve changed it up over the years. Presently they’re strictly alphabetical and the box sets, special additions, etc. are displayed separately.. nothing on your level, of course but I think I’ve mentioned I’m building a media room/home theater in the basement which I plan to incorporate some custom display features, that I think should be pretty awesome. Let’s hope I can build to my imagination will see. I’ll figure out a way to share pictures with you once I really get started anyways have a great one as always👍

I genuin get excited checking out other people's collections. In terms of the way I organize it varies. Sometimes it's alphabetical. I love your home theater room Keith. I collect a lot of statues and am currently waiting on 3 PCS statues: Robocop 2 1:3, Halloween Michael Myers 1:2 and Species Sil 1:3. PCS is also releasing The Howling 1:3 statue for preorder very soon. I have no idea where I'll place them but I'm very excited.

That's the only problem when it comes to buying statues is trying to find the space for them. I am sure you'll be just like myself and magically find the space. I honestly don't know how I keep doing it. I'm sure it'll become an issue someday but not now

On one hand it's cool to get a steelbook edition, but on the other it's like they've cunningly put some customers in a position to double dip. Hi Keith, that's a really great set up that you have it looks real neat..Can you give me any advice regarding shelving such as what you found works best to handle the weight and what to avoid. I'd really appreciate it as I'm clueless when it comes to DIY

To be honest everything that you see in that room other than the shelving behind me is all done from scratch. Another thing I didn't mention in the video and this is something we are very proud of but there's not a single hole in any of the walls in that room. We basically designed the room that way. One shelf is holding in the other. To be honest I'm not particularly all that great when it comes to DIY myself.

Omg that carpet is from the Overlook hotel . lol on the front door of your movie room you should get some numbers from the DIY store and put 237. 😮 I hope your name is not Grady. lol very nice home theatre room

Yeah the 237 would not be a bad idea. Of all the changes that I've made to my room the overlook carpet was probably my favorite. Adds a bit of color to the room. Thank you for checking it out

No I absolutely agree with you Ryan the uncut version is the one I always watch. Would you believe me if I told you the first time I ever seen that version is when I picked up the 4K release. Didn't even know it existed up to that point

Yes Keith I’ve just had a look. I’ve got the premium collection from HMV a few years ago which came with the Blu-ray and the DVD and it had a few art cards with it and it has got the un cut version. It says extended version on it.

So all of the Steelbook protectors I bought on eBay and basically what I done was I got double-sided velcro strips and basically mounted them on my wall. Of course you want to make sure to have plastic cases just to avoid any damage

Looks really nice and great effort, but goodness knows how you find a film without hunting 😅. Not keen on the cable under your rug -- fire hazard in that amazing collection 😬!

The cable cannot be helped unfortunately. I don't see it as a fire Hazard. The only time that cable is active is when I'm in this room. I'm not concerned at all

Yes it is indeed a soundbar. It's a Samsung Harman Kardon HW-Q90R. It's a beast of a sound system. Overkill for a room of that size

Trust me I'm not limiting myself. The sound system I have in this room would light up a small cinema let alone a 13 foot by 12 foot room. I only have to use %35 of its sound. Absolutely no desire to change it. Check out the reviews for it and you'll understand

Wow I had absolutely no idea that Steelbook was going for such ridiculous money. Believe it or not but I actually bought it for 12 Euro back in the day. Brilliant display Keith.....just 1 thing......might not be an issue right now or....dependent on how much you use it.....but....ps5 in an enclosed space is to be avoided at all costs nit because of dust but because of air flow....you don't really have enough space to the right left or behind and air intake or blow is not much given at the front so you have 3 sides without much gap for air. So, overheat is a possibility. A minor thing, but I thought I would advise if you didn't mind. Excelsior. Hope Leon is still in a great place for you.

Yeah I sometimes think the same but then I realized Craig I don't play it long enough for it to heat up. Honestly the most I ever play on my PlayStation 5 now is probably two hours if im lucky. So I'm not really concerned as of right now. But if it ever came to that I could simply put it down under where my Planet of the Apes bust is. Thanks for the heads up

@millerman9991 your very welcome....I think your OK with 2hrs. Just remember it has no thermal paste on the cpu but uses liquid metal so the heat goes to a passive heat sink which only cools from 1 fan. So be careful my friend and omg it's looking so good :-)

Looking good Keith! What do you think about the white wall that sits behind your television, I think it might look nice painted black, or draped / upholstered with black velvet to blend in. Do you think that might be more immersive when film watching?

The only problem is I would have to remove all the steelbooks that are above my TV and I don't think I have it in me to do that. The one thing about Steelbook being mounted is you can keep changing them and it would be a shame to remove that option for myself. But I know exactly what you mean and you probably are correct. Again maybe something to think about in the future. Thank you so much for the tip.

I know I have said this before, Keith, but this room is amazing, it really is. It's the man cave of all man caves. Just when you think you have perfected your room, you make it even better. The Overlook rug is the icing on the cake. Well done Keith, if I ever visit Ireland I'm inviting myself round for a movie night, I will bring the popcorn. Just curious, how have you got those steel books connected on the wall, left of the TV.

As you can see by the video Gary there is a second seat and you are more than welcome to it my friend. It's a collection I am so proud of and like I said in the video if I can do anything to change the flow of that room I will definitely do it. I'm sure I will do an update on the back wall when we get that sorted and fingers crossed everything will turn out okay. In terms of my Steelbooks you will notice they are in plastic cases and I have them basically mounted by velcro strips. I was going to use magnets but apparently you can damage the Steelbook. At least this way you know nothing's going to happen. Thank you as always Gary for taking the time to stop by and check out these changes I've made. I'll be waiting for my popcorn 😆 🤣

Basically what I use is double-sided velcro strips and I think it works like a charm. Just make sure you keep them in the protective cases

It's going to be very hard to describe it by text but basically there is this special tag and when you pull down on it it simply unsticks the velcro. I honestly don't know how to describe it properly in text form but if you check them out for yourself you'll probably see what I'm talking about

Hi Keith I know this is a stupid question but what WiFi do you use 2.4ghz or 5ghz as i recently switched to 2.4 and was wondering if the sound has been affected from doing it as im stressed out as it’s recommended for 2.4 as 5 has had issues but I don’t know if I did the right thing and I know this might sound cheeky but Keith if you can’t help me then can anyone In the comments as I need the answer as I have been searching for 2 days now I’m not being rude just in a conundrum at the moment I hope you and everyone can understand

Honestly Ryan I have absolutely no idea what kind of Internet we are using. That's all down to my partner Ellen and something's telling me she wouldn't have a clue either. The one thing I do know is your internet speed should not affect your sound. Well only if you're streaming.

Change is good and makes things look better, my living room has white walls but I put some small framed film posters up and a large Empire Strikes Back framed poster up and it looks much better now, only me here so no one to complain 😂😂

That's why I have all the Steelbooks mounted on my wall because I can simply change them whenever I feel I need a change and it does make a drastic difference. It's also fun going through my Steelbook collection trying to find the right one to put up.
