‘ShapeMaking and Movement with Lucy Turner’ Move It Class 2023!
The premise for this class was to view the body as a canvas / landscape and discover creative ways to make shapes within the body through dance. This class featured tasks such as improvisation, musicality, imagery, storytelling, threading, partner-work and Interpretational Choreography. Interpretational Choreography is a psychology-based creativity technique founded and created by Lucy Turner: ‘spoken framework (without any physical demonstration), to urge dancers to find their own interpreted way of moving, and start to discover their voice as an artist’.
