Mouthpieces Review | 3D Printed Syos, G&A, Makani Sounds

I am going to review 4 different 3D printed mouthpieces from different parts of the world.
Two mouthpieces are from the absolute leader in 3D printed technology , the French company Syos.
I am testing their Signature models Mornington Lockett and Saxologic.
The next one is G&A mouthpiece made by the very talented instrument maker from Israel , Eddie Gofman.
I already played one of his mouthpieces the previous video, but this is a later model. And the last mouthpiece I received from the Makani Sounds, from beautiful Hawaii where they call it Hā, Breath of Life in Hawaiian.

As always, Felicity saxophonist presents a subject with an enthusiasm and genuine passion. In this video, essential components of saxophone mouthpiece design are discussed, along with a very excellent performance of a popular piece of music. Her cycling through the various 3D printed designs is so effective because her playing is stellar and compelling. The contrasts of timbre are more notably volume is quite a feast for those who are familiar with mouthpiece design as well as for the listener who has a casual interest via intellectual curiosity.

I’ve tried a couple of SYOS’s on Tenor . They look cool and I like the “ring”ligature! Not sure I’d want to buy one.

Have you ever tried the Vandoren Jumbo Java Mouthpiece? It also has a very bright sound.

@@Felicitysaxophonist a friend of mine plays saxophone, she have a little concert tomorrow, and she is undecided if playing with or without makeup (including lipstick), she want to look pretty but she worried to damaging her sax. Do you have some hints?

I still prefer hard rubber .

I really like G&A too. I think it’s a wonderful mouthpiece for jazz music too.
La mejor es la Eddie....
Israelian mélos sounds the best. Second favorite the purple cannonbalish Syos. The worst are the oldfashion cheese orange Syos and the classical beachy hawaiian.
