Those are not widow makers. Good video, overall. I have been mounting tires on these Goodyear style split ring wheels for 30 years. On International Harvester trucks. I have never had a problem.

Thanks for watching! This was my first set of split-rings to mount, after doing maybe 100 sets of traditional wheels. I've got to say, I like this design! I understand they can be different from one manufacturer to another, so I don't know exactly what constitutes a "widowmaker", but I didn't feel unsafe with these.

​​​Sealed Beam Rally Team has a video (ep.11) which gives the best explanation I have seen about the various types of multi piece wheels. It's worth watching. I was trained by a good friend who had run a tire business, and who was interested in saving money at every opportunity. Great memories.

I have a 59 chevy viking 60 I just picked up, would those be split ring or widow makers?
