I've just picked up komplete 11 ultimate, thanks for showing me how great the strings and brass can sound. Put the NI demos to shame. Beautiful stuff man!

I was having problem to use Horn Legato (The Horn Legato alone are having Phase issue)so i came here again to see if you used and discover what im doing wrong but, in this video you used the Sustain Articulation for the Horn/Trumpets parts, why did you choosed the Sustain Patches instead Legato? In any case, i thought if i use a Sustain Instrument to a Legato part would sounds beginner but in this video you used so i will try to use im my project

Jesus christ man, I'm blown away! I knew great sounds were able to be achieved with these virtual instruments but holy shit, this is very high quality, literally this could sit side by side with a pro movie score and you wouldn't know the difference. Very impressed!

Have you seen the price for the symphony series? All up, it's like, $1500. For the strings and brass and woodwind. Not even touching the drums or strike or anything! :P

That's why you don't buy it, you buy Komplete Ultimate. It'll get you a lot of cinematic instruments, a decent orchestra, and knocks 200 off the price of each. Or buy Komplete "Normal" and get some other library from a third party.

***** That's the point though, the Komplete "Ultimate" only includes the Session version of the symphony series, which is a seriously reduced version of the full product... which frankly, I find a little insulting that they put a limited version of anything in a product called "Komplete Ultimate" with the sales pitch being "Your Sound: Unlimited" It just seems a wee bit like a slap in the face, y'know?

TheSkileton They always said, when releasing the SS, that it would never be in Komplete so getting Essentials is more than I expected. One could also argue that a product from a company that specialises in that stuff instead of a broad spectrum one like NI would be better, though. But in any case, the regular Komplete bundle is a great entry point and gets you Kontakt and 30 something other products for 100 euros over the price of standalone Kontakt

FarryEntertainment you typically use these libraries to help aid you in composing (especially with scoring). you wouldn't want to try to write music with the band right in front of you, that's just not ideal. you make a piece, then transpose each piece into the rightful clef for that instrument and then finally contract out a band to play it. But, to be fair, libraries now-a-days are way more intricate and sound way more believable. a lot of people now are actually just composing, and finalizing the projects straight from these vst's, not even contracting out a band! thought at least someone would like to know this information anyway :p

(Sorry for the really late reply) I looked into cinematic studio strings, they're not as high quality as this but they're still amazing for the price... I may get it, do you still prefer Cinematic Strings over Symphony Series String Ensemble though? Also, if I may ask, what drum sample library did you use for this?
