This is a very common behavior among contemporary Buckskinning hobbyists. This movie is by far the most popular among Fur Trade Period US reenactors. It is required study to memorize as many lines as possible. And to recite them with flair by the campfire, besotted with Apple 🍎 Pie Moonshine. If you pass out near the pit, you will be rolled in cold ashes by morning, to remove the new look from your warshirt. Otherwise if you remain awake and walk back to your lodge, your friends will ridicule you as you do The Rope Dance [ tripping over tent stakes and jute ropes] and cussin' like Frogass.

They were made of beaver felt,from the fur.Shaved and treated down to smooth.Fur was used on lapels and collars and wrist trappings
