Couple of brave ladies..
the sad part is that mountain lion was probably starving. That's why it choose an unusual target for prey and wouldn't let go of the dog despite being hit. Mountain lions usually go after easy to avoid being injured. If they are injured than they can't hunt effectively and will starve. Anyway this could of been a lot worse. Glad the woman and her brave dog survived.

mountain lion bite the dog on head and cracking that dog skull, so spike colar still can't help, the best choice is always carry bear spray and catnip

@@MulanKwok299 there are dog breeds with higher bite force than mountain lions. Cats go for the neck or throat.

If mountain lions are so rare, why are their literally hundreds or reports online about mountain lions attacking people and pets. They need to be taught to fear humans for their sake and ours?

There are NOT hundreds. And more than half of these videos are NOT actual attacks. They are merely sightings. Look up all the statistics. In 134 years, there have only been 129 attacks, and only 28 of them were fatal. They ARE afraid of humans, that's why it IS rare to see a cougar, let alone be attacked by one.
Wow those mountain lions are cool. If I lived there I'd be carrying a gun on me and in my car.
Thankful you both are ok. Horrible experience. Scariest thing that can ever happen...I know.

I would be too scared to death of visiting Southern California due to mountain lion attacks on humans, especially coyote attacks
Talk about some badass women!! They didn't cry and run to find help.. no, they chased down a damn lion!! And whooped his ass!! These ladies need to be praised for saving the dog!! Not the other way around! I truly hope your pooch is gonna be alright also.. hugs and hi-fives

We had a mountain lion in our neighborhood last week, maybe 2 miles from my house, and in an abstract way I thought it was pretty cool (as long as it’s not my back yard). But if my cameras picked up 4 lions strolling across my drive way……I’d have a real problem with that 😅

A pack of wolves? Sure, they indeed often dominate and even kill cougars if the cat couldn't escape. But one on one, they're just no match, the toms can get up to 100 kg and some even more, while the record for wolves is 80 kg. The fighting style of wolves are also not effective against cougars
