What a great video. One year ago I've backpacked through Scotland for about 3 months. I set myself the challenge to spend as many nights in as many different bothies as possible. Went up to 50 nights in 42 different huts. I absolutely loved my time doing so. I moved around by hiking and hitchhiking and the feeling to step through a door of a bothy for the first time is amazing. I'll be back in a few weeks to spend another 5 weeks in this wonderful country. Really looking forward to it. Cheers

My walks I’ve started to add to KZread, Scotland has some stunning remote vistas and your bike destinations are drawing me to get out again ~ weather just now isn’t favourable 🌧 for me personally. Alastair! Thank you so much for this video! I've (from Edmonton, Canada) been starting to make plans to do a solo biking trip in Scotland, for the summer of 2018. I'm purchasing a bike in advance, from Shand (built in Livingston). I'll get them to size me for the bike, and ride it out their doors, and go from there! I'm hoping to go for 3-4 weeks. And then, i saw this video from you. It confirms me, that yes, i'm making a good choice for my next adventure! I'll need to do some research on the bothy's, as that indeed looks like something i'd like to experience. You're an inspiration! Thanks, again, mate!

Amazing film! Yes, it's so important to respect a Bothy because if you do it will make one a better person in life. The scenery you shot is a sumptuous feast for the eyes. The Scottish Highlands really are a gem in the British isles the last bastion of glorious wilderness. I'm slightly nervous of the highland cows as they have horns like Spanish bulls but that said, I'm prepared to risk my life to experience exceptional beauty!
