Mount Kinabalu Via Ferrata Sabah Malaysia/ Lows Peak Circuit (2021)
A Via Ferrata (or ‘iron road’ in Italian, plural via ferrate) is a protected mountain pathway consisting of a series of rungs, rails, cables and bridges embracing the rock face. It allows access to scenic sections of the mountains that are typically available only to rock climbers and mountaineers.
Mountain Torq is the World’s highest via ferrata and Asia’s first via ferrata located at Mt Kinabalu’s Panalaban rock face. Starting at 3,200 metres and ends at 3,776 metres above sea level at Mount Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo.
The world’s highest via ferrata, Mountain Torq - which also happens to be Asia’s first - can now be found on Mt Kinabalu in Malaysian Borneo.
The next highest Via Ferrata is found in the Italian Dolomites called the Marmolada West ridge, at the highest point of 3,343 metres.

My biggest achievement for this year is completed the low peak circuit ferrata. Not only that, I went to summit at 2am and continued with the Ferrata and lastly down to the mountain all within a day for slightly more than 13km hike in 14 hours! I must be crazy man!! And yes, I did it once again although I struggled whether to give up and surrender. Thanks to John, my verrata guide who kept encouraging me to go on and finish it. He is one of the best guides I have. He is passionate about his job and he loves photography a lot. He did wonderful in taking photos and even tell you who to pose how to act etc. He never rush me and very patient to guide me how to hold and grab the rope etc. Every time I felt like giving up but when I see his smiling and funny face, I just didn't want to disappoint him. If u r going for verrata in mount kk and like a lot of super professional photography, pls look for John, I can assure you that you will not regret and thanks me for the recommendation.

We had the same feeling about john. The best guide we had that when coming for second trip on January, we still asked for his service. Glad to see you had a great time despite the challenging Mount Kinabalu via ferata

Tobpinai, tu guide selalu kasi ingat jangan teriak2 di atas gunung ba kan. Nanti keluar tu Mondou. Luckily the bridge can hold the weight of you all with all that shaking the sheer height of the bridge is already a risk.

Awesome job!!! Just wondering if the via ferrata was nerve wrecking for you guys? We're planning to do this route but we have a fear of heights so just wondering how it went for you guys? Was it dangerous and did you feel like you could slip and fall to death? Thanks!

Personally, for me it was thrilling experience, and i give my full trust to the safety equipment and our trainer. But my suggestion to anyone who wanted to try via ferrata to work on their fitness and endurance because this activity will demand a lot of that.

the via ferrata lows peak circuit only about 1.2KM if im not mistaken..it's not that far but combining with the high altitude, low temperature, unpredictable weather, current fitness level and the fact you did the summit before doing this can add up to the challenge. im not avid rock climber, but the motivation you get from the guide trainer along the trek can boost the confidence.
Nice video, but the dude seriously shouldn't have playing on the bridge like that. Dangerous for other people. He maybe doesn't care to die, but others do.
