Just curious is it safe for you to walk to the gym alone? The UK is so different than the USA.

Depends where you live to be fair.. I live in a village so it's safe to walk everywhere here even going to the Spar Shop late in the evening before they close. Unfortunately there isn't a gym here so I would have to go on a 20 minute car trip to the nearest proper town with actual facilities like gyms and swimming baths.. I think they have a pool there? Perhaps it's the high school one like where I used to live which opens to the public on certain days. Not sure
