Hi mates im a begginer, would it be ideal if I want to connect 2 monitor speakers in the back, the mic in the front left and a guitar on the front right as well? Would it work fine? It will only be used for light music recording and some live streaming here and there. Now that being said is the M2 jist okay for that or do i really need the M4? Thank you best regards!

Do you get any strange digital crackling or stepping on your gain knobs when you rotate them while audio is being fed into the channel? My unit is adding some noise and crackling to the channel whenever I am mixing the gain on the channel while audio is playing. Very strange. I'm on my second unit that is exhibiting this issue and I'm trying to find out if I am just unlucky with my units or if this is normal behaviour. Your help/thoughts are greatly appreciated. Your sound seems to be nice, clean and smooth (no stepping or digital clippling/crackling) when you're using the gain knob. Mine has random clips and pops as I'm changing the gain on the channel. Still waiting on Motu to respond.

Maybe there is a problem with some sound drivers, delete if you have other audio drivers installed, install the asio4all driver and restart, don't connect the audio interface to a USB hub but straight to the computer USB ports, try different USB cables maybe this have a problem

Might mine is bad, but on Windows (at least) it is total trash. Or if mine is not good out-of-box that means quality control sucks. And a lot of people have similar problems, if you search for it. On mine it's cracking and popping, not all the time, few in a minutes, but it really drives you mad when starting irregular clicks/pops... (tested on few computers, PC, MAC) And bought it after overhemly good reviews, so it's double sadness. So I would avoid MOTU at any point.. Bought from Thomann that didn't want to replace it under 30 days returns warranty (not in EU, so outside of EU ),,, 🤬👎 Not related to review ofcourse, might be you are lucky with working one, but many doesn't. Think twice before buy MOTU M2 / M4

ironically that "old tape" stylized music sounds not like stylization, but MOTU direct recording
