@Jessica king also make sure it’s not just your controller that is burnt out! Very rarely the motors die.

I changed out the handle bars to bicycle bars, it gives you better control. I have almost 1500 miles on mine. For the price point and the performance it's great, there are some updates you can make to make it a better ride, like shocks and the above mentioned handle bars. The folding mech is garbage,too much slop.

I'd love to open her up and take a look at it's controller. I bet it's off the shelf. That throttle is very popular with many, just above cheaper, controllers.

Hey man! It’s been tough to keep making content with my new job haha but I appreciate comments like these so much! The 10+ is absolutely worth it over this if you can afford it. Ride quality and life of the scooter, also warranty wise your better off getting a vsett from Rev rides, if you use my link in my full review you’ll get 50 bucks off and i get a kickback helps me out a ton! But yeah man if your on a strict 1000-1200 budget and wanna go 40 the Thor really isn’t bad. If you can spring the 25ah 10+ though it’s an amazing ride man, it’s like a cadillac. The Thor is the budget beast for sure lol. Now I’ve got the kaabo wolf king GT pro it’s a monster ahahahha! You cannot go wrong with the vsett though it’ll rip your arms off man haha it’s powerful. yeah you can definently tell it isnt the BEST quality motor, but motors dont usually break too often anyway so idk! my minimotors futecher gun pro motor is also quite loud id say compared to the vsett10+

For the money it’s a good scooter. They saved a lot of money on the build including the folding mehanism. Personally I would save an extra thousand dollars and buy a better built scooter. But if that isn’t in your budget range then you won’t be dissapointed with the Thor. Just keep up with maintence and know that it is a lower quality frame. How much do you weigh? And how many miles in 1 year would you plan on riding it? These factors matter quite a bit. Let me know! Thanks for watching check out my other videos ❤️

If I could buy one used for $700. To use for a sidewalk trip to work and home 16 miles round trip, 4 days a week with a 230lbs rider would it do well, Would it be worth it? What/where on the scooter should I look for damages on a frame with 500 miles.

I just tried to seat today it is quite nice - as far as foot pegs go, I wouldn’t recommend it on this scooter because of how low it is to the ground. I know people add pegs to kaabo wolf king gt and the like- but yeah! No scooters are waterproof and I wouldn’t recommend even riding scooters in light rain. All scooters can be waterproofed with a tube of black silicone though :) In my latest video before swapping the bars, I rode it going 40mph the entire time for 17 miles and it had about 57-58 volts left out of 67.2 that it had. So I would say it could have went another 5-8 miles going fast, or possibly 15 if going 20mph or less. This scoot is almost as good as a vsett10+ 20.8ah, has the same battery, slightly lower top speed than the vsett (41 vs 45), slightly slower motors (1200w vs 1400w) But is 800$ cheaper and comes with a seat! Haha :D it’s not a bad vsett alternative for sure.

It has an iP67 rating and I have literally rode in a thunderstorm and I ride in the rain all the time not by choice but getting caught in it leaving work and never had any issues. I own a few scooters but my daily work scooter is the emove cruiser. The problem is I want a little more speed to cut my commute down a little. The mototec seems to have the speed but my concern is the water resistance rating, overall range and are the tires tubeless pneumatic?

@@jasonvalerio6820 for every scooter that has an IP rating, there’s a story on Reddit about controller dying in rain or battery’s getting condensation. I prefer and recommend to never ride in the rain as no scooter is waterproof despite personal experience aha. A 3$ bottle of silicone can waterproof any scooter though no problem, including the Mototec, vsett10+, and all dualtron scooters. And I’ve ridden a few emove cruisers, I think you’d find that surprisingly this Mototec has a bit better build quality to it. It does have its flaws which I will highlight in my full review coming out very very soon! Overall though for the price, you can get it for 1099$ from Walmart. It’s totally worth it I would say.

@@jasonvalerio6820 the tires are regular pneumatic tires (with tubes) and are semi-off-road tires, not tubeless. I weigh 125 pounds and could bang probably 25 miles on it going as fast as I possibly can, more if I took it easy. Your mileage will vary depending on weight of course!

A dual motor emove cruiser?

Hey bro inner tube keeps popping in the rear tire of my vsett I’ve had to buy like 3 inner tubes specifically for my rear tire should I just buy a new tire because the front tire I haven’t had to change the inner tube once

Rear tires ALWAYS first to go as they deal with most of PUNISHMENT etc as that's why rear suspension is always first on scooters if they have any at all.. full is even better for sure

300lbs but the more you weigh the less range you get. The battery should last the life of the scooter. You can open the deck and replace it but the 60v 20.8ah battery pack is probably 600$

@@slowdeepandhard69 in my opinion I would not buy this scooter if your 330lbs. You will be disappointed with range and possibly power off the line. Unfortunately the scooter world is rough to heavier riders, requiring a larger battery and in a lot of cases a bit better build than this. This is one of the cheapest fastest scooters for its price, for that to be done the build quality is slightly lacking for someone of your weight and range, I would expect you to get maybe 12-15 miles out of a charge riding it quite fast. I would recommend you take a look at Kaabo Wolf line of scooters, or potentially the E Move cruiser. I hope this helps a bit!

As long as you take proper care lithium battery’s can last a very long time, someone I know has left electric bike battery’s in the cold in their garage and attic for like 4 years and has gotten them going again! They are more durable than people think!
