This generation Odyssey was the first ever time I was in a Honda in my life time. It was November 21, 2005, I was a month and four days shy of my 13th birthday. I was going to a convention for an honor society I was in, it was the same week as Thanksgiving. I have Asperger's syndrome was into car safety then (still am) so I thought it was so cool that I was in a vehicle with six airbags and awesome crash test ratings, not to mention the van itself was probably the most comfortable vehicle I'd ever been in up to that point of my life, and it was brand new. I'm 25 now and drive a Honda. It's a white 2011 Accord EX-L V6 sedan, fully loaded. 122,360 miles and no mechanical issues. August 17, 2018 2:40 am

The most German feeling Japanese vehicle I’ve ever driven and it’s a minivan.

I like this design and the 99-04 design better than the 11-17 Odyssey. The one the '18 model is replacing is just too blocky looking for my eyes.

I’m not sure if the Touring has telescoping steering wheel but I wish my exl had them, it can be a long reach for tall drivers

8.7 sec to 60 seems a little slow compared to what my old 2003 Honda Odyssey could do, which was around 7.5 sec…..maybe this newer generation is heavier then mine? However my 2002 Odyssey was also a fully loaded one, with leather seats, dual power side doors, in dash 6disc changer with DVD player and rear passenger entertainment LCD display and a few other features….but I guess the newer stiffer structure could alone be much heavier then mine…

165,000.00 miles on org trans. Not so much as 2 sets of tires and breaks other than oil/trans fluid changes. Oh ya, it's still worth $7,500.00 as a used car.

+kirk hollis Transmissions are fine, It just depends on how you take care of them I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey with 299,999miles on it and never had a problem with it still runs and drive good. I still have my 2003 odyssey with 273,896 miles on it runs fine and drive fine only problem I had with it was a shift solenoid other than that they are wonderful cars.

The new generation is better trust me. I agree they were a joke back then and that why we have a 06 sienna still on a original transmission. And runs as good as it did brand new.
