Motorcycle Wheel Chock

Motorcycle Wheel Chock
I primarly build this to use when changing the out the fluids in the motorcycle. I have been using a scissor style motorcycle lift, but was having trouble getting a drain pan to fit to catch the used oil. I stumbled across a KZreadr, Willy Coletrain. He made a 3 part video on building a nice motorcycle stand. Below is a link to part 1 of his motorcycle wheel chock.

I wanted to also make a motorcycle wheel chock, so I gathered up some scrap wood that I had lying around from other projects and came up with this. The scrape wood that I had in the shed was just the rights size. I used pocket hole screws and gorilla glue to secure the wood together. I used a Kreg Jig to make the pocket holes. Please measure the width of your front tire to determine the width of your tire chock.

Thank you for this design. I built one per your design except I used 2x8s where you used 2x6s because my fender isn't as low. I thought it would add even more stability. My isn't as refined as yours, but works like a champ. Thanks man.

No, these were just what I used that I was comfortable with to stand my bike up with.

We are looking for a way to hold our motorcycles on a moving truck fr VT to SC I wonder if this would work..we cant bolt it down

Sue crayz I don’t think this would work. Just standing up there seems to be a lot of movement when putting light pressure on the bike, so I can’t imagine what would happen on a truck.

Nice and all for say $500 bike but you've got $20k+ one, just spend another $300 and buy Condor or Wheelchuck brand one, proven, well made and safe.

The wood has to be below the rotor and I assume that only the tire up to the rotor is really clamped into the wood.

Yes, the wood is below the rotor. It is slightly higher then the tire, but as you can see I had to remove a little bit to accommodate for the fender.
