The turn signal switch assembly on my 2012 Honda Shadow Spirit is acting up even though I took it apart and cleaned it so I’m glad I found this video
Just talked to you on IG, this is what I was looking for very very cool. Love the price point and the actual size.

Something I've been meaning to tackle for awhile. Planning on my next build to totally replace old wiring harness. 🤘🤘

We do it on all our customs. It lowers the chance of an electrical fault a whole lot. Especially on the older motorcycles
Awesome looking, well thought out product. Look forward to finding a project to use this on!

Thanks Mike, The Black Box makes life pretty easy on a re-wire.
G'day guys, looks like an awesome setup and the price is on point, could you tell me what are the differences with the motogadged m unit?

This is a far simpler bare bones set up. Check out the link in the comments for more info and videos on the product
I was looking at Motogadget stuff to finish off my KZ650 resto-mod build (ZRX1100 front end, swingarm, wheels, and brakes), but I found this video. I'm using re-pop 1982 Kaw replica switchgear on the handlebars. Will your Black Box Control Module work with that setup? I need all the switches to work as designed and intended.

Hey, Thanks for your interest. Our module is simplified to work with custom momentary buttons only. The idea is to clean up your handlebars to a more minimal spec than stock
I am guessing I already know the answer to this but does the box need a constant 12v signal? I have a bike I am trying to install custom controls on that does not use a battery. Right now it outputs ac voltage too but I can convert that easy enough. But really have zero space to mount a battery that won't detract from the look of the bike.

We recommend the use of a capacitor/battery delete atleast. Most direct systems don’t supply clean enough vintage
I have the electrical knowledge of a caveman Could I install this kit with the included installations, without any existing knowledge?

Most of our customers are in the same boat. Our simple black box and switch kit makes it easy for you, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Hi, I am planning on rewiring my ´82 Sr500 2j4 which i removed the battery from since it doesnt need one due to kickstart. my question is, does this kit function on a no-battery system ? Thanks a lot!

Hey Laurens, great question. Yes the module will operate with a battery eliminator, but for best operation of this module and any LED lighting you wish to use, we find it best to use a very small battery on kick start bikes.
Can this be easily installed on a 2020 royal Enfield interceptor 650?

Yeah with the use of our black box it will be no problem
Can you use this on existing wiring vs having to re wire whole bike

I'd like to replace the factory plastic switches on my 2015 BMW R9T but it has canbus. Is this possible? Thanks
@PurposeBuiltMoto
Жыл бұрын
Hey Paul, Yes it’s possible but you need to take care to replace the function buttons for your ride modes and settings aswell. You’ll also need to use a control module and breakout box for the conversion

Why don’t just make the controls with latching butons? Would be a lot cheaper, what about you selling latching butons option without black box?
@PurposeBuiltMoto

We want the cleanest possible handlebar, and latching buttons require a lot more room. This way you can hideyour switching under the seat with the added bonus of a self time out indicator
Hey guys. Do you put a bit of heat shrink on your soldered connections on the button? Also on my Harleys got the throttle by wire all integrated into the right hand controls, I think, took them apart and put them back together when I put some new scrambler style handle bars on. So I think I’d need some kind of new throttle setup to be able to rock these buttons. Do you guys have something in your shop for this? (If I’m correct of course)
@PurposeBuiltMoto

Hey Alex Yeah thats right mate, we have another video linked on the video description about button installs (when I had a beard!) You can purchase aftermarket throttle by wire set ups for your bike, but we don’t sell them. Hope that’s helps man!

@@PurposeBuiltMoto Where would some of the CDI wires go?
@PurposeBuiltMoto
2 жыл бұрын
Ah, you need to understand a bit more about how this all works. Maybe go read out motorcycle wiring 101 for more info. In short. None of that section of wiring goes through an M-unit, or our black box. it’s totally seperate.
@bassstudent4life

@@PurposeBuiltMoto We'll take your advice and continue to read on motorcycle wiring 101 because one can NEVER stop learning unless you're an idiot. We specialized in k100 and vstar 1100 and all of our builds' CDI/ECU go directly to the m-unit blue ignition out. So your box CAN NOT replace the m-unit WITHOUT additional pieces.

@@bassstudent4life Yes, with a switched positive and/or a kill switch wire, both of which the black box has. You're arguing against yourself here, on a product you clearly don't really understand.
