1. Full throttle at all times. 2. Do hand gestures (like wanking gesture) to everyone 3. If you ride like a fool and you almost get clipped, make sure to break their sidemirror to establish dominance 4. Two wheel on the road is one wheel too many, not really needed. 5. Dont aim to become an old rider who's been enjoying their riding for years and years. Overrated. (see rule 1 again)

I've ridden on back for years(1%ol lady for like 5 years) so I thought I could just jump on and ride. Come to find out I learned nothing, zero, nada from riding on the Back lmao so I came to you tube. You and a couple others taught me to ride. I had little help from people I could touch...so now it's 2 years later and I got it down. I now can ride comfortably without the anxiety that comes with learning, and happily. Really I be smiling like a doo hoo riding down the road. Thank you so much. I ride her everyday and work on her myself and won't let anybody touch her(I got an 04 honda shadow 750) I'm fixing to put clutch covet and pipes back on and enjoy this weather today. I stare, with a mix of quiet satisfaction and existential dread, as he yells it over and over again. I hear the words echo in my soul as his eyes drill agonizingly into my core. He hovers closer as his chanting stare blots out all other sensation, both external stimuli and internal feeling alike. I shiver and finally go numb, giving in to the terrifying reality presented to me. "He's right," I say to my monitor and the empty room around me, "it is all a dream." The monitor stares back, glowing softly.

I can relate to the 'Don't Drink & Ride', although I've never done it myself. I've been on some benefit poker runs where most of the stops were at bars. Halfway through the ride, it was easy to see who had been drinking. I started waiting for everyone else to go before I fell in behind the pack. I didn't want to be near them.

One of my first big organized rides we made our first stop. We hit that bar like a flock of locusts. Everyone grabbed a beer while the good people out for a nice weekend meal stared at us. I walked out got on my bike and left.
I’ve been riding (Got my first motorcycle or any kind of bike ) 3 months ago with no In person guidance whatsoever I had absolutely no clue about anything on a motorcycle and I learned strictly from your videos and am still learning a lot I ride nearly every day now and I feel like I kinda got it down thanks yammi noob
Great video. Lane splitting is totally legal in Belgium, and is even encouraged. Cars move over in the left lane to create the space. I ride over 25k kms a year, estimate 8 to 10k lane splitting in the Brussels Antwerp area. I gain between 1 and 3 hours a day that way.
Texas here as well and I filter at lights everytime. Gotta hope that this changes. People are honestly pretty good about it.

Good video Yam! Your videos were a part of my beginner journey a few years ago. Lane splitting here in CA is nice, but there are so many riders that continue to lane split at speeds that are flat out dangerous in addition to being over the posted speed limit that it creates cager animosity towards riders. Most people will actually move over for you and make it even safer when done at safe speeds.

No, maintaining constant speed around other vehicles causes cagers to forget you're there. The tactic should be to get away from them or at least move often enough so that they'll be reminded where you are.

Sweet, got it...5 beer minimum on bike night brother. Got it 🤟🏼👍🏻
the problem with lane-splitting, whether legal or otherwise is many see it as a ticket to confrontation... and while it makes the car driver look bad, if it is not legal in your part of the world, it just validates their anger and often gives license to others that know it's illegal to pick on motorcyclists that do it. All I do is wedge my tire between the two cars in front of me... that way if I do get hit it will be a glancing blow and I will go between the cars instead of into the one directly in front of me.

In Europe lane splitting is normal and in my country it's expected, cars move over to let me pass, even if I don't want to 😂
Casually igniting my inner schizophrenic at the end there, real classy 😂
In the UK lane splitting is completely legal. We have a totally different mindset here as a lot of kids will ride a bike before moving onto a car. Cars are way too expensive and second hand, often come with problems. Bikes can be cheaper and a new bike is more reliable. People in cars still kill bikers but the whole biker thing is completely different thing in the UK compared to the USA.
Lane filtering or splitting is only legal in CA, you get caught doing anywhere else in the US, you will be given a moving violation and hefty fine. They care less if you think you going to hit from behind in stopped traffic.
