    CKaY I’m going to assume the USA. Considering the car that hit him was on the left side coming towards him and he started off driving on the right side, that’s how we drive in America. He was going around the bend to the left so went way left into the left lane to make an easier turn and he didn’t know a car was there. It’s his fault for driving into oncoming lanes. Especially when it’s a double yellow line (which means you can’t cross lanes or pass) in case your not from the USA

    These videos are the best training aid for new and experienced riders. It comes down to the main three; target fixation, lack of attention, and riding above skill level. I watch these every year to keep them fresh in my mind; complacency is the enemy.

    Might seem that way but physics on a bike is weird. Braking in turns not only pulls out your front wheel it can also straighten the bike and and make you miss the curve, or hitting the brakes too fast will lock up the wheel. Proper training required as well as not only riding during the 5 sunny weekends a year.

  • @PathinAZ

    @PathinAZ

    5 жыл бұрын

    Jason Headden I'm curious, how much experience and/or training/riding have you got under your belt? I'm wondering because you seem so knowledgeable about bike physics but you never mentioned the most important one, counter steering. Cheers..

  • @PathinAZ

    @PathinAZ

    5 жыл бұрын

    tinwoods First, I'm arrogant for wondering why he didn't mention counter steering? Look up the word bright boy. The fact that you felt the need to bust my balls and then spout off your "resume"......that's arrogance. Counter steering is usually intuitive, but many of these ricers get so used to pulling the bike around a turn, in a panic situation counter steering goes out the window. There are plenty of clips where riders go down because of this, many times it's when they ride straight through a turn. Wow, riding for almost 40 forty years. You're my hero.

  • @PathinAZ

    @PathinAZ

    5 жыл бұрын

    Bernaccia Emanuele Partly right...The biggest reason riders go down id because they jump on the road before they truly get proficient. When I say proficient, I mean someone who has spent months practicing emergency braking, panic maneuvering and avoidance. This is why you see so many clips of riders hitting their front brake in a panic, or riding above their skill level and not knowing what the maximum leaning angle of what they're riding is. When they're in a position where panic starts, because they haven't practiced enough they find themselves either riding straight through a turn or sliding the front tire by braking wrong. I've been riding now for almost 39 yrs, and I STILL take some time and freshen up on emergency braking/maneuvering. I ride a FLHTCU, one of the biggest bikes, so being able to quickly change direction with that 1000 lbs is certainly an art. Practice practice practice..Ride Safe..Cheers

  • @PathinAZ

    @PathinAZ

    5 жыл бұрын

    Bernaccia Emanuele There is no required training course (but many riders take them anyway), but there is still a learners permit for bikes and to get your license you must pass the skills test. The difference of riding to driving is that riders must understand it's not just another vehicle on the road. There is SO much more to be aware of, a whole slew of different skills that is way too much for a test to cover. It's like owning and carrying a firearm, which I do..Most people who decide to carry take it upon themselves to take course upon course throughout the years. Like a vehicle, it's a big responsibility that could get yourself or someone else hurt if you don't know what your doing. The difference is that in America, we have somewhat of less Gov't control and more freedoms, and with that freedom, some abuse it by not doing the right things.. I digress.. What limitations do you have? (for a regular riding license)..just curious..Thanks Cheers

    The hot engine isn't what you need to worry about but more so is the spark that ignites from your engine every few revolutions or so while the bike was still running or open flames of course. What's flammable in gasoline is the fumes, not the liquid itself.

    the owner did the right thing if you don't punish your dog next time it will get hit by a car how does nature teach humans and animals simple through pain now i didn't say beat the dog bad but spanking it is fine if you don't teach your kid or dog properly they have a higher chance of dying because you failed them nature teaches everything through pain do you touch a stove when its on NO WHY because its hurts and its bad why do you eat when your stomach hurts because it stops the PAIN PAIN is what makes everything learn because pain is what tells the brain to remember not to do that if you don't teach your brain it will put you into bad situations that can get you killed when a toddler keeps trying to pick something up that you told it not to but it keeps doing it and you keep putting it back it will keep getting it until you get tired or until you spank it and say don't do that why because the international thing that tells you to stop is pain pain makes your brain learn and this is a fact because scientist just stated that why do we remember more bad things than good things because good things are good but bad things can get you killed and its a natural thing in animals and humans why do animals cry when their babies die why well simple because emotional pain and pain are the same thing it helps you learn your mistake in the 1800s in Africa lions use to hunt people but in 2023 they don't even try and usually when they see humans now they just try and run to hide why because over generations of animals they were hunted and killed by humans and they hunted humans but guns started to get better we started populating faster and trains and railroads so we almost hunted them to extinction so their animal parents taught them to fear humans unless you are starving to death then both animals and humans will do unthinkable things to others because they are hungry and they want to survive lets end this conversation the natrual thing that helps animals and humans learn is what -PAIN- a person that cant feel pain has a 45% chance to die every 5 years because if they cut his or hers finger and cant feel it you could die or if your in a hot place or the room is hot you wont be able to know when its time to shut the heater off or ac off and you could die you touch the stove and get burnt you dont know until you look at the finger and if something is wrong with your heart or body you wont know because PAIN is not there to help you out because pain is how animals and humans learn what no means now like i said that dont mean beat the dog to where its screaming but spanking it will cause just enough pain or discomfort that it should learn the truth is humans and animals are based on pain without pain no one could learn what's bad or good if our ancestors had no pain receptors do you think humans would of lived no why because they wouldnt know how far or long to walk they wont know if they hurt themselfs if they broke a bone or anything and they would be prone to dying

This video makes me feel better because it shows that the vast majority of accidents involving motorcycles are the actual riders themselves doing something stupid, or just speeding. Even when they are not solely at fault, they contribute to the accident and it would have been avoided had they been riding defensively instead of riding with reckless abandon.

    6:44 good example of biker ignorance. His body and then bike cross the line at 6:48, then the vid pauses to point out that the oncoming car crossed the white line, as if this is the reason he fell off. News flash, people tend to cross the white line a bit on corners, to use a path of lesser resistance. Is it ideal? no, does it happen a lot? yes. Ride with the attitude of how the roads are and how people realistically use them. DO NOT ride with the mentality of how the roads ''should be'' (he himself crossed the line, regardless of greater viability at that point). He was going a little too fast for the corner and shit himself when he seen the oncoming car crossing the line and panic braked. He panics because he's an inexperienced ''road user'' who obviously doesn't know about such things.. and should not be riding a bike where the stakes are higher. Riding ability means nothing if you have poor road experience. He also stands over the bike fumbling around while petrol is pouring out, say's it all.

    @@delmar_7339 Taking a path of greater resistance at the same speed will increase Gforce, that in turn puts more stress on the machine, be it air plane boat w/e. For cars, that normally means more tire wear and maybe more on the suspension. The path of least resistance is basically ''racing lines'' they reduce distance and Gforce so that the car can actually go even faster around the corner, take it too wide at the same speed gforce over comes grip, you spin out. People on normal roads use these lines at slower speeds because it's physically easier to turn the wheel due to less Gfroce, that means they don't have to brake as much at road legal limit on corners. Roads are not really designed with mechanical efficiency in mind, but for volume of traffic and safety. The issue is we are naturally creatures who lean into efficiency, and this is why so many people line cross, bikers most of all who have even less grip.
