Otherwise of you start shouting about rights to film they could just decide to take the right to check the bike over and do you for every single thing they can find... @@bjb7587 as you do it more you get to recognize more indicators. Any gap big enough for a car is a thing people may turn into without notice or signals or even looking. You can notice the head of a driver start to look around as they think of turning. This will happen before they actually start to change lanes. You can see this from a ways off. Sometimes you see it in a mirror. Often you can see it through their rear window. You can usually notice the tires of the car turn before the car makes it much of anywhere. This was visible in this clip. Another is placement. A car close to the lane dividing line is more likely to be positioning themselves to make that lane change. I’ve been riding a long time and spent years lane splitting in rush out traffic in major metropolitan areas. Never an accident. Constant lane splitting. It’s your job to keep yourself alive. It takes work and it’s a skill that can grow and a skill that can dull.

4:50 I dont think he was hit from behind. You cant see anyone in his mirror. What I suspect happened, is he rides a DCT and accidentally twist his throttle. Usually experienced riders are used that they can blip the throttle as long as they are in neutral. If you do that with DCT you will be torpedoed forward. The jolt probably made him want to hang on, which further exacerbates the problem. You can also hear the bike reving up.

4:03 when you ride it’s YOUR job to be as visible as possible. If that driver looks in their mirrors they can’t see you. If they look over you don’t look like a car and they can’t see much in that passenger window. If you’re adjacent to a car be clearly visible and a little in front of them. The goal is for it to take ZERO effort for them to see you. Bright colors. Reflective things for night time. Ride in places where you can be readily seen with minimal effort. Follow a path that’s easy to anticipate.

When you’re on the way to the hospital (if you’re lucky) at least you’ll be able to blame someone else though! Personally, I’d rather ride defensively. I assume no one is paying attention and that people can’t see me. I don’t ride in blind spots. I assume people will change lanes without signaling. I assume people will change lanes a second time if they’ve changed lanes once and another lane exists. These are good habits. And, I don’t blame others for things I could have prevented myself. I also been riding for about 15 years and never been down. This includes time commuting into a major metropolitan city while lane splitting (all four seasons, rain or shine) and riding on wonderful Northern California canyon roads at a very good pace on a supersport bike.

First thing you should ask to a cop asking you to stop recording is "why?" he will have to be very careful about his answer and it will be recorded even if he himself tries to shut the camera by force. If you have any aggressive action after you asked him "why" then you should check if you can do something legal against the cop. Of course cops hate being recorded, cause that makes them accountable. Just think that cops using extreme force or abusing authority get almost no real punishment even when being recorded, imagine how will they lie about the incident if they are not recorded. The only way to win a feud against a cop is by having him on tape, theres no other way, cause cops protect cops, but cops cant protect themselves of cameras.

@1:20 - First successful use of a motorcycle snare EVER! 😅😅 Debbie and Kenny need to learn when riding together like that in a turn, the rider on the outside needs to fall back a bit give the rider on the inside enough room to make the turn. It doesn't pin the inside rider between the other rider and the shoulder where dangerous thingsbcoul be lurking.

0:30 Love how he blames the other driver. If you have this sort of accident, you were going to fast. Splitting lanes is relatively safe, so long as you keep your eyes open and you go faster than 5 MPH over the other traffic speed. Keep in mind, 2 things. Car drivers will not be expecting you to be there. Always be ready to avoid cars changing lanes. Also, many drivers don't understand why splitting lanes is sometimes required. You may encounter road rage. 0:50 This is what happens when you are going at a safe speed. He was able to avoid this accident with ease.

All he had to do was counter steer around that car or maybe, just maybe apply the brakes! @ 2:10 there is a black tar strip in the road that we see on all the roads, but what people don’t realize those strips of tar get very slick and will cause a bike to skid or loose 100% control. This looked like the gravel caused him to slide out. Lucky they weren’t hurt badly. Ride safe all! 4:05 this inexperienced rider was in the cars blind spot and yet takes zero responsibility……. In the first clip the car was clearly signally the moment it came into view. If the biker couldn't see that, then the car driver would not have been able to see the bike either given the slight curve and the vehicle behind the one changing lanes. Splitting lanes should be done at walking pace. It's an inherently hazardous activity, and in this case, there was plenty of time to have dealt with the situation.

Too ofter do i see other riders getting they fee fee's hurt and triggered by they themselves doing the dumb. Been riding for over 20 years and any rider that get offended by a car changing lanes into them and says stuff like "look before you change lanes" or rev bombs aint nuthin' but a poser bound to becoming a road stain or a donation to the local organ bank. cars have something known as blind spots, and are large themselves, the larger the vehicle the bigger the blind spots, but most importantly being large and cumbersome gives them a more predictable path of travel (regard;less of wrther they used a blinker or not), you on a bike are nimble and have an extremely wide field of view and the ability to predict where a vehicle you are passing may go, as you are the one with a greater field of vision and you are the one choosing to overtake the other vehicle YOU are responsible for verifying the path is both safe and clear. also pass on the left in the passing lane bikes or cars ya ij'its, but if you make a pass without the time to either stop, or avoid and get through before having the gap closed you were in the wrong, plain and simple,, if you do not have an escape path planned before you start just sell your bike now because its just gonna be scrap soon
