Great bit of kit for the camper👍 as for the bad earth's I had the same problem,water is getting in from the side vent on the van corner,the plastic flap behind had aged & rain runs straight down the wiring loom into the light cluster so check the loom connection. I made a circle of plastic & cut it to the centre & made a cone to wrap around the wiring so it deflected water away from the wiring,put a blob of blue tac on the point to seal it. Ahh thanks I will check my flaps 👍🏼 there didn’t seem to be any water in the connectors and it’s been dry here for days so wouldn’t say it’s rain shorting the connections. Rust maybe. Thanks for your comment 👍🏼 😊

I had the same disco effect with the rear lights. In the end: it was the earth connection on the top of the rear lights. The pins/plug were corroded. Took them out with a “special” plug-pin-tool. Also the earth connection to the chassis on the left side was bad, sanded it and problem fixed. Probably the same with yours. You can always check by making an extra temporary earth connection to the chassis to see where the bad connection is.

great idea and good job ...I built a rack for my Yamaha XS650 out of a pair of Taxi Aluminium wheelchair ramps but never got the chance to test it . Buy yourself some Tungston Carbide drill bits .. they are expensive but last forever. Drill really slowly and watch them cut through 5mm of stainless or hardened steel like a knife through butter in seconds.
