We finish on this big road in this video. I could not record right to the end unfortunately but as you can see we got quite far in all of these videos even when we were going slow because the measurements weren't right. We did this road from my first video in about 8 hours right on 1cm accurate.
More grader videos will come on Wednesday or Saturday if I have JCB videos planed the grader videos will come on Saturday so stay tuned.
And also thank you for the support on these videos it really keeps me motivated so if you want please comment I will try to reply.

    Noone ever gives the ground guy credit for keeping that skilled operator in line. Raking the edges and checking his work with strings. Usually only hand signals to save time. Great job dude.

    So, these new machines, can you actually set a height or position on a digital readout and keep that setting? can you set a laser tower and integrate that into your set settings? It's not eyeballing it anymore looking at stakes?

    Driver does a good job. But. I ran the G720B for a few years. Then upgraded to a G940 It is the best blade I have ever ran. Has the weight, power, 11 speed transmission shuttle shift. Can’t say enough good about it. Very little repairs in last 8 years. I’ve ran Galion, John Deere,caterpillar, and Volvo over the years. The Volvo G940 is awesome. Only problem I have is the idiots in charge quit making them in the US/Canada area.😕

    You're right about the back up alarm, that's a liability for the company,i made a living operating a motor grader, I learned from my mistakes trying to be the fastest horse,measure twice ,cut once,theres a time and place for needing to go quick,did you notice there are no roadwork ahead signs,as far as I can see

    I appreciate being able to watch the operators technique, but as someone who is wanting to re-enter this type of work, is it possible to get some info on tricks of the trade? e.g. position of the blade pitch and angle for trimming, speed/gear used for the material being spreas and why? How to know if you have to right moisture content for the material being used and the best ways to approach the job and how to maintain a crown. Where to position the machine in relation to the centre line etc... I have a youtube channel just so you know these are genuine questions. Sincerely Adrian.

  • @TPTimi

    @TPTimi

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thank you! So I will tell you how we work here the angle is about 2-5% but it can change during corners. We usually work in the 1 gear because we can be more accurate if you go to the second gear is just to fast. The moisture you can see it if you just pure a little bit of water you will be fine but it can change if you have more material. And you always push the material where you need it. I will actually do a video on how to operate the grader and what to look for in the future. I hope I explained good enough if you have any more question feel free to ask.

    En Argentina los motoniveladoristas se mueven más rápido...así a esa velocidad que va esa moto se va a secar el material....aquí se trabaja con estacas y con topógrafo para realizar el corte y por lo que veo es base lo que está cortando.....como decimos cortar rápido para que el vibro compactador sellé y no deje escapar humedad de la base,mira que después no va a dar la densidad de compactación......

  • @albertogarcia5276
