I have no clue about Motogp but i know Rossi ...so he must be the best. I guess he is one of a few world class athlets like Jordan, Schumacher, Tyson and a couple more. Rossi leads just in the podium stats, but just for his looooong history, for example rossi got 57% of podium, Marquez 65% and Agostini 85%. in sport of speed being in the record for the long career its not so good

yeah point Rossi is insane, but he is the Goat , he win with all bikes, Rossi's only mistake was choosing the ducati too soon, he would have to wait and keep winning with the yamaha ... the ducati was to be the grand final ... maybe a bit for how stoner drove it, a bit for the love of country perhaps (bike italy/rider italy), and he chose the bike change too soon. Rossi is a legend who always loves to test himself, he has shown everything in his career.

I gave specific points for every championship standings, like: 28 points championship winner 21 points runner-up 16 points 3rd and so on, until 1 point for 10th position, the last I took in consideration for every championship. Marc Marquez. He has been for 7 or 8 years a champion . From 2013 - 2019. Now for 2020 we don't know cause he is injured but still he has a great chance at winning cause the others are doing a horrible job! My opinion. Ilike Rossi and Marquez both but I probably like Marquez better!

Interesting to watch but meaningless as this is a longevity measure which is impacted by motivation, injuries, sponsorship and politics. For example Sete Gibeneau was in his 8th year of Grand Prix racing before he stood on the podium. You can only do that if you have very deep pockets. That is the career length of many of riders who survive on sponsorship. An effectiveness measure showing wins, podiums and average points per race would be a better comparison. Thanks anyway.
