Lorenzo Rossi Catalunya 2009, Lorenzo Pedrosa Brno 2012 are also amazing races.

Never been more of an inconsistent rider than Pedrosa, otherwise he’d have won the gp title in the 12 years at repsol

Im not usually a fan of music played over vids bit I think that they make good music choices and there is still some engine noise. Motogp does a very good job producing these clips. Many casual fans (not racing enthusiasts or motorheads) would get bored without a soundtrack.

I love the teams' expressions in this. Priceless is definitely one way to describe it.

I remember watching that race like it was yesterday...Best feeling ever. THAT race defines the beauty of this sport. Whenever I feel crap, I watch that race...

The crowd cheering at 0:46 (perfect number) gave me goosebumps

Filipe Gonçalves Yeah, saw it 2 weeks ago, thats a decision whether you´ll live or you´ll die, but this is an amazing race i must admit, people always played with the death, and there was always at least one spectator while the played with the death, so...it must be a "must be" for many of us watching people risking their lifes.

Oh, mate, i´m not really a technique-pro, but i will believe you, and my second "but" goooes toooooooo.......i am satisfied enough, when i see Mr. Marquez biking on a wet track like it is dry and at the finish line he simulates, ON A BIKE WITH 230km/h, a swimming man. Dude, thats near to perfect for me! :)

that overtake i can watch over and over, and i am still getting goosebumps.... Best ever:)

when u place ur knee out it allows u to extend ur centre of gravity through corners allowing u to turn sharper and faster, but it also allows the rider more stability on the bike through the corners as the top half of ur body acts as a guide through the turn

In the case of knee-dragging, the knee sticks out as a result of the rider's body position. When leaned over in a corner, the rider shifts his body to the low side (inside) in order to shift the bike+rider center of mass to the inside. This allows the bike to turn the corner in a more upright position (less lean), and the more upright the bike is the greater the traction. For any given speed and corner radius, a rider who hangs off has to lean the bike less than a rider who does not hang off.

Unbelievable how the are racing on a wet track! It is just amazing!

I love watching "masters" of most sports - I am not biased to any sport (I was a decathlete, not too much notoriety, haha). However, watching Rossi, Senna, Prost, Piquet, Lorenzo, etc in F1 and MotoGP are extremely technical and pushing the limits as well as the highest competition - I really enjoy that.

It's actually Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian). "Semakin di Depan" which means One Step Ahead is corporate slogan of Yamaha Indonesia since 2003. And Yamaha Indonesia is one of official sponsors of Yamaha Factory Racing in MotoGP. I guess that's why they use the tagline. I am Indonesian :)

@@darylyounger6793 He used to ride Aprilia and so Aprilia became famous then they split because Aprilia's CEO was arrogant and rude to Rossi. As soon as Rossi quit with Aprilia, the CEO publicly badmouthed about Rossi and wished him good luck, Rossi never looked back anymore.

Hasn't won a race in over 5 yrs, hasn't won a championship in over 10. He's only got a Yamaha ride now because Yamaha make a shitload of Euro's off his merchandise. Biggest cheat and bad loser to ever grace the MotoGp grid. Won several races by leaving the track to overtake. Should have been disqualified each time, but was allowed to win because he brings in too much sponsorship dollars.

BEST OVERTAKES EVER.

They take the foot off the peg, to balance the weight lower and to the inside just before they drop the bike into the corner. It makes the bike easier to control when you let off the front brakes. The best way to describe it is go do it.

It depends on who you ask. Some people say to put their wieght over the front end. Others say it acts like a wind drag, and others say its just something rossi invented to syke out people.

Again, it's simple physics. The lower leg does not have much mass to it, and letting it hang down does not displace the mass very much, therefore the shift in overall center of mass is very slight. I can't imagine how it has any effect other than psychological, as in a feeling of security or something like that.

I've seen interview where riders and crew comment on this. A couple have claimed it helps keep better balance, so shifting your center of mass using your leg, although it does very little, it does appear to help

My God, there are so many people making statements on this thread who have NO CLUE about motorcycle road racing, much less about physics.

I will be honest my knowledge is limited on dirt bikes but to my knowledge An off-road motorcycle will easily steer by pressing down on the inside peg, and in conjunction with shifting the upper body mass, will go over pretty easily where as also the type race you perform has extreme technical and slow tight corners as a posed to superbike circuit which is long or short but swooping fast corners so in essence I would believe that placing your foot out would serve more as kick up.

7 wins aren't enough for Pedrosa to be champion 😭

it's for balancing the bike faster. for example: you extend you right foot to take the weight to the right side, so you can lean in a left corner. + sometimes also used to make harder the guy behind you to overtake you. that's basically it. :)

the wheelstands at the end were fucking awesome
