It was the darkest 2 weeks of motorsports that month in 2011. 1st Dan Wheldon in Las Vegas and then Simo. May them rest in peace.

Firstly, Edward hit marco's back. The hit turns marco's hands and head lift up. Suddenly, Marco's hand ran over by Rossi's tyre and Marco's head get hit by down body of the bike. The crash turns Rossi's bike had a bump jump and broke Marco's helmet and Hand. It's weird this slow motion video shows everything

Was on UK time and due to having young infants twins, was awake early, and after a feed got the kids and the wife back to sleep and quietly watched the race.......can remember the smallest details of that early morning. Wasn’t the first loss I’d witnessed as a racing fan being an avid TT fan, but was one of the hardest. A terrible loss. A year after, I moved to Singapore and the Malaysian GP was a short trip I made every year. The love and respect that circuit shows every year for Marco is very special. Godspeed Marco. One of a kind ❤️

I was about 9/10 years old, Rossi and Simoncelli were two of my favourite riders, I found out from my Dad, fortunately due to us being on UK time we didn’t see it live. It shakes me up to this day. RIP Super Sic.

I was married to the most amazing Thai lady, sadly I lost her to cancer, I still have her 46 'The Doctor' T-shirt in my bedroom window to show the world her strength, just like the greats.

The sad thing is he had a lot of potential. Only 24. And was getting very close to Stoner, Pedrosa, Doviziozo and Lorenzo in every race. In his last finished race he finished just 2 seconds behind Stoner in Philip Island and ahead of Dovi and Pedrosa.

I got up early here in the UK to watch this race and remember sitting stunned at the very brief footage of Marco on the circuit. I just knew I’d witnessed a fatal accident, so awful. RIP SuperSIc
