Thank you! I have a Moto G Stylus 2021 and the alarm wasn't going off. You solved my problem about one minute into your video. I just realized there is a separate volume setting for alarms and it accidentally was lowered. This phone seems to have so many more glitches than any other phone I ever had. Things "accidentally" seem to get messed up on a regular basis. I am so thankful for videos like yours!

fix for me was to first dry Qtip with most of the cotton taken off in the aux port. Then a different clean Qtip with a bit of alcohol. very gentle. Works very nicely now...ty..

Thank you. I didn't realize the Bluetooth speaker in my car would read as a headset. So that's why it's been adjusting my volume down when I listen to my phone out of the car

Thank you. As a relatively new smartphone owner I have little experience, and couldn't figure this seemingly-simple issue out! I just wasn't getting sound from any media even though I've heard it before, and I kept wondering "how effing complex could this be?" I noticed when I'd press the volume buttons I would see a strange grayed-out interface appear, not the usual slider and the musical note. I explored the menus, found a weird display in the media section which either looked like the volume was totally OFF or full volume, depending when I looked, but it was _unchangeable._ I got to your second suggestion: the "hard reset." But not knowing what that does I just restarted the normal way and that did it. I could suddenly see the normal volume interface and my sound is back. I should've known from many years of computer experience that we're not just dealing with hardware, but also with _software and firmware._ Restart to the rescue once again. Thanks, man!

My phone is fine with music via Bluetooth headphones fine when listening through the phone speaker but when I use aux connection for the car or to connect my phone to my amplifier it's REALLY muffled and sounds terrible. This was never a problem before but seems to have started ..today. my poweramp trial ran out so I purchased the full version of the player today too not sure if this is related? Any help would be super appreciated. Just sounds really muffled and underwater-y. I've tried another aux lead as well as a pair of cheap wires earphones and the problem is there with all three so I'm confident that it's the phone and not the cables themselves. Hmm.

Idk but If you reset option like at end of video it will come on it safe mode & have to restart to go normal mode

What happens when you plug in the charger while pressing volume down then release volume down? How about what happens when you hold power and volume up? Also can you do a tutorial on the entire page that pops up when you press volume down and power?

How can I get the sound to be louder through the headphone jack opposed to Bluetooth for lossless audio? For whatever reason it’s louder through Bluetooth and mid level to quiet through the headphone jack which is head scratchingly annoying when compared to iPod 7s headphone jack which is 3x as loud. I’m not fluent whatsoever on Android and any help would be greatly appreciated.

t/hanks , I had interupted charging ,due to the fact that charger module was not plungged into the outlet creating a on and off charge , tripping it to a mute on sound . my media would not sound but I had Phone sound , I even went to all the settings and the volumes were ok, but I viewed this video and found the mute icon and back to normal.

What is that bottom icon that looks like a box with morse code?

when i play a track of music on my phone every track works fine with volume , but after one songs finishes when it goes on to next track phone goes silten even with the volume up then i have to restart to get sound back , can u plz help , tia.

Try going into the sound settings in the settings app and cleaning out the speaker at the top of your phone

@@Brunhaam Sounds crazy but I sucked on the top of the phone where my speaker was and it's actually working better than it was before I think something was blocking the speaker hope this helps

No luck here.. The wired earbuds receive sound OK but the other person can hardly hear me. Seems there's no sensitivity in the wired mic at all! Tried different sets of hands free wire earbuds with no luck. Any ideas anyone?

@@goatgod8038 No, I haven't unfortunately.. I have come to the conclusion that the actual socket on the phone is faulty. The reason is, my earbuds work perfectly well with my second phone. So, it's not software issue. The socket has to be replaced. The funny thing is, for music and just listening Y.T. it works fine, it seems only the microphone not connecting properly.

The damn thing only plays audio out of the right/lower speaker and I can't figure out what is causing it

@@jeffscott3744 nah, turns out they only build these with one speaker at the bottom, just another example of technology evolving backwards until phones are nothing but a brick that tracks your location. :/

My media volume is not working so I can't HEAR your solution. My media volume on my MOTO Stylus 5 G 2022. It will not fly to the right to increase the volume. It won't move at all. I hate this phone!

I checked the Bluetooth settings after exhausting all other options. I had not utilized the Bluetooth setting menu before this happened but found that the sound system in my RV parked outside was active causing no audio from the phone. I hadn't even been in the RV for days and the sound system WAS NOT EVEN ON!!! I have no idea how this could happen but after disconnecting it I got my sound back on the phone. I swear, ghosts in the machines.

Worked on Moto Z Play to turn sound up and down.

I don't use headphones . If I try to reboot,, it takes too long to come back on. Soft ware update messes it up

My husband press the speaker to talk hands free. However, we can't hear him when he is trying to talk when the speaker is on. It's so frustrating.

Always check that the phone is not in airplane mode.

Everyone who is confused in his video because they can't hear the sound all you have to do is reset your phone by holding the power button and then wait for it to turn back on and the sound will work
