There was an exercise I did to learn how to stop the front from tucking under hard braking. At a slow speed gently apply the front brake while gently rolling the throttle. Lock the front brake and keep the bike moving forward. You can actually skid the front tire while moving. This will teach you the importance of keeping your forearms "stiff" to not allow the front to move to the left or right and tucking under.

That's EXACTLY how you do it and how I learned. It also reverses natural tendency to lock harder when you start to fall to learn to let off and regain control. I never hear this anymore

Don't forget to squeeze the frame from your feet all the way up to the knees. This way you lock your lower body into the bike and you can keep your upper body loose.
