I’m a beginner guitarist, and I have to say that you are my favorite teacher out here on KZread! You make everything very clear and understandable, and for the first time I feel like I can actually play a song! Thank you so so much for sharing this, and I will be sure to check out your other videos! Mick Mars is such an amazing guitarist and he really made Mötley Crüe who they were. Thanks again!!

Killer riff that's instantly recognizable. The fingering is easy, the hard part is playing it up to speed while staying clean. It's tempting to speed it up too quick and get sloppy.

The song that made me start learning guitar! I came late to discovering Motley Crue back as a 14 year old in 2000 (heard Girls Girls Girls coming from the TV, and there was Tommy on screen with smokes shoved up his nose...it was a Crue documentary). I think I bought the Girls album that same weekend. This (All In The Name Of) is my favourite riff from that album but there's so many good ones! Great lesson too as always Mike, so jealous that you know Mick!

Thanks for the Crue Covers. Glad to hear what a good Guy Mick Mars is. Underrated guitarist to say the least, and one of my favorites. Thanks again for helping us amateurs fake it a little better.

Killer lesson! I started playing along with the tabs I found with no idea of the fingering, and watching you shows me that I am in fact doing it correctly. That main riff, tho! That thing's quite a workout. I've done nothing but play that song over and over all day today. My hands are killing me. I'm sure it'll feel a lot better playing it tomorrow. Thanks again. Maybe an old dog CAN learn new tricks. :)

hello friend! I congratulate you for your lessons, I am a big fan of mick mars, I have a kramer baretta and I'm doing a project for a telecaster, since you are a great friend of Mick, I would like to find out for sure what pickups mick used in their Barettas and telecaster, and what kind of pickups you got in this guitar because your tone is very similar to the girls girls guitar tone. thank you

Mike...a subscriber of yours here. I have a serious question for you, if you don't mind. Like yourself I am a Christian man who happens to love rock and I've been playing guitar for 30+ years. But I have an internal conflict with some of the lyrics of these songs and I'm wondering if you've ever been conflicted as well. I've learned to play this song but the lyrics do bother me. The first three words are "she's only fifteen." Hate the lyrics but love the music. Another example I've learned to play is Steel Panther's "party like tomorrow is the end of the world." Again, love the music but lyrically it's in the gutter. I know this upload is several years old but wondering if you could share your thoughts.

HEY THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT AND WHAT A GREAT QUESTION.ULTIMATELY,AS A FOLLOWER OF YESHUA I WOULD PRAY ABOUT IT.IVE ALWAYS IGNORED THE LYRICS BECAUSE I WAS SO INTO THE MUSIC,THE SOLOS,THE VOCAL MELODIES AND THE SONGS IN GENERAL.I COULDNT TELL YOU ALL THE WORDS TO ONE SONG.BUT IF IT IS OUTRIGHT BLASPHEMOUS TO OUR CREATOR ILL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.HOPE THAT HELPS MY BROTHER IN CHRIST..KEEP ROCKIN WITH THE ROCK THAT MAKES US ROLL...JESUS!!!
