I just purchased this tool for my Toyota Highlander. The oil filter cap has been over torqued and 2 of the 3 tabs are broke. Thanks for the unboxing video!

If you loosen the center screw you empty the excess oil and take out the filter and no oil will leak

No reasons, I always drain from the drain plug first.

After draining from the plug as shown on the video, I drained the filter housing.
