What a wonderful man

I left the church twelve years ago. I once hated the church, with a passion. To the extent that I still believed in God, I hated him too. I couldn't understand what people saw in these men. I was genuinely lost and confused but I was also arrogant and petty. Recently, however, I found my Redeemer (or perhaps He found me) and my eyes have been opened. I'm on my way back into the church, and I see it now. These are men of God and Jesus Christ is mighty to save. ❤

No matter what thoughts come to you, know that God's ways are not man's ways. Our thoughts are not anything like His thoughts, especially when we doubt ourselves. His ways are higher. You are known, and you are loved more deeply than we mere mortals can comprehend. No matter what obstacles you face, keep going. Don't look back. Look forward. Keep His face before you. Keep going until you find yourself sitting in the Celestial Room. Then, remember all of the love and prayers seen and unseen, heard and unheard that brought you to this moment in this place at this time. And, remember how precious you are to us but especially to Him. Keep going Omar, He is waiting there for You. ❤

It doesn't matter if they were accepted by my church - though we are all grateful for your spiritual work on behalf of a man we love and sustain and admire. What I think matters is that God accepts our prayers. He hears them, just like Elder Holland said. And when believers come together, despite our differences, I know Heavenly Father is pleased. I am not an LDS member. I was figurately introduced to him from an active member, thru these General Conference presentations. I am respectfully impressed by Elder Holland's human ness. When he speaks, it is clear that he is a vessel of our Lord, giving us His hope. Elder Holland's testimony gives me hope.

Listening to Jeffrey R. Holland is always inspiring for me. There is nothing that he says that is negative in any way. His testimony of Jesus Christ is both sweet and positive. I feel uplifted when I listen to him. i suggest that anyone who wishes to listen to a true witnessof Jesus listen to him.

I feel Elder Kearon will be the one to take his place as the most eloquent of the 12. The Lord has a pattern for His Apostles!

When I was away from home and working out of state. I had a total knee replacement while renting a room from a coworker. My surgical site became severely infected. I was taken in for urgent surgery. Thank goodness the appliance was not infected. Shower I took nearly 6 months to finally heal. But during that time it was a painful experience and recovery. I was often discouraged. I got through it all due to President Holland. I continually watched his talks on KZread day in and day out. He spoke on many subjects. Thank you President Holland. I’m so very happy to see you and hear you speak again!! Your friend. Linda

Elder Holland, I played the organ at Stake Conference in Rhode Island in 2014 when you came to visit. While sitting directly behind you at the organ, If I would have extended my left arm straight out, i would have touched you. I felt like the woman who just needed to touch the hem of the Savior's garment. Being that close to such a Holy man and special witness is something I will never forget. You told the story of your father's return to the church after his Home teachers came to your house and how you listened from the kitchen. You have been a powerful influence on me and so many others. We love you so much.

I am so thankful for this message, and call to action.

President Holland's iron will and testimony are incredible. On the verge of death multiple times, his wife is now passed beyond the veil; yet, he stays the course as a apostle of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Like he said in his talk, if he lives a worthy life, then he’ll be with his wife for eternity because they were married and sealed in the temple ❤️

Once I held his hands, a living Apostles of Our Lord Jesus Christ during his visit in Hong Kong was just felt like I'm holding the hands of Our Savior Jesus Christ. I believe that Prophet and Apostles only one step ahead of Our Savior, Our Lord. Those feelings that I'll never forget, I'm honored❣ I love you Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and Sister Holland 💖 Till we meet again💞

Many years ago, when Elder Holland was enrollrd at Yale University in New Haven, Ct. He took my nephew to home teach with him. At that time, my Brother-in-law said to me, Someday he will be an apostle of the Church. He has touched my spirit many times over the years.

I was lost and wandering in the mists of darkness. Jesus Christ came to me, and saved me in my darkest moment. I testify that Jesus Christ lives. That He will return and that He is mighty to save. I know that the book of Mormon is true, I know that the church is the Kingdom of God on earth, I know that Joseph Smith saw God, I know that God established the Keys and Foundation of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, through His servant, Joseph. I know that the temple is where we can meet God. Where families can be sealed together forever. Where souls can be saved, though they be lost. I know these things because God has shown them to me, and because the Holy Spirit has written these truths on my heart. May we come with boldness, humility, meekness, lowliness, and brokenness of heart, to the throne of God. Like children to their Father. May we remember, remember who we are brothers and sisters. “🎼I am a child of God🎵” I love you. God loves you infinitely. May He bless, gather, and keep you. In Jesus name amen. 🙏

I prayed and prayed that President Holland would be able to speak in this conference session. I love this man, and his talks always seem to be directed straight at me. He always says things I need to hear. Heavenly Father, I pray that President Holland will be allowed to stay with us for some time more! I cannot imagine being without his masterful words given in his talks. Everything he says, I take to heart. I thank Thee for letting him be here with us today, and he is able to give us his wisdom. God Bless Him always! I am so thankful for his presence in my life!

I’ve never had an NDE, but I’ve witnessed miracles. So glad he chose to give us a brief part of his. We don't need proof. We need to actively choose right over wrong. If there were explicit verifiable proof, there would be no need to choose. Our choice is everything. He's lived a good life. If it's his time, godspeed. He will be reunited with his wife and be pain free from the shackles of an imperfect mortal body.

Elder Holland is an amazing soul. His wisdom is very needed in our day.

One of the greatest talks of all time!!!! President Holland, it is so hard to lose a spouse, Honestly the word lose drives me a little crazy, I didn't lose her, I know where she is, but we miss our loved ones. The pain is evidence that we truly love them, they become part of us. There is so much good still in this world. This probably not a surprise to you, but Pat was probably needed in the spirit world. I was taught through the Spirit that my wife was busy, she did not have time to hang out with me all the time, this made me feel so much comfort. Knowing she is at work, made me feel good knowing we were both striving to keep our covenants. As you know, we will see them again soon, but until then I pray for your comfort President Holland. We appreciate your wisdom you share with us. I share the sentiment of so many others, I wish we were best friends, and you were in the mood of talking more about your experience.

Raw message of truth

Hearing his references to hymns throughout the talk, I'm reminded that "the song of the righteous is a prayer"(Doctrine and Covenants 25).

He has brought me to tears many times calling us to repentance. I love and respect this man more than words can explain. Thank you Present Holland for your example and your love.

It’s amazing how much I love Elder Holland. I’ve never met him, yet as I have listened to him for decades, he has challenged to me to be a better disciple of Jesus Christ. When I listen to him speak and I hear my Savior encouraging me to be better. Thank you for your ministry Elder Holland!
