I've seen a 12yo kid getting 25years in prison and this adult only 8 years, shame to justice

Listening to this in 2023, this is my first time hearing of this case. Five years later, I hope and pray that this precious mother and her family are finding some type of peace-- whatever that looks like for her, during these upcoming years. I'm also praying for Ms. Tidmore and her family, too. That she finds peace, and that she continues to find the space to accept responsibility for this action. And, that she works towards her own healing too.

I hit a small bunny and it was unavoidable, it felt like I went over a brick. There’s no way that woman didn’t know she hit something, a whole child at that. She doesn’t deserve to ever see the light of day. My heart hurts for the mother, loved ones and most of the victim.

I'm a mother and my daughter 9 year old and watching this made me cry and I'm so sorry for your loss your family in my prayers!!

I’m crying right now, this mother deserves so much better. The woman that did this is going to hell no mother should go through this pain. The way she is handling such pain is amazing even when she is going through something that she has literally tried to kill herself for. An 8 year sentence is not enough.

She kept her daughter's body alive for 2 extra days so she could donate her daughter's organs to save another child. Gosh... This woman is an angel!

My daughter was crossing the street then a minivan was passing n i scream stop but driver never stop n my daughter injured was her left leg broked half . police never found the van information but I dont really know they found the owner because I o no body seen who was driving the minivan. From that accident the city dedicated pull speed bumps but never stop driver drive slow.. Stop n go like nothing.. If I last my daughter that day, I never forgive myself n driver dont know..

My heart breaks so much for this mother! And the way she says “she loves to dance.. she loves to sing”… she doesn’t want to accept that her precious little girl is gone. I want to hug this woman so much. The fact that Lacynthia (the woman who ran over the little girl) showed zero remorse, rolled her eyes, shook her head and drove AWAY from the scene is just deplorable. RIP little angel… you can tell this momma tried her best to raise her daughter and loved her so much! 💔😢

The pain and guilt for allowing her to cross the street for the first time on her own, is so strong, that if you as a viewer can't feel for her, your heartless. This is so heart wrenching, you can see the pain in the security/cops faces. The guilty woman deserves 100+ years

black women and little girls are not protected in this country. they probably gave her a lighter sentence but she was a black girl and for some twisted reason our lives are not valued in this country. I hope this mother keep at it and got her re sentenced. She deserves to rot in prison. She looks like she has no remorse while the mother is talking.

This is the most heartbreaking case I’ve ever listened to. Words can’t even describe how this mother must have been feeling and seeing everyone in the back of the room crying too- that was hard. The fact that the woman convicted didn’t even blink an eye after brutally killing a CHILD shows that there are bad people in the world who really don’t give a dam. I wish that woman had gotten a life sentence and had AT LEAST stopped when she hit that girl, called police, and apologized

She will be tormentedwhen she finally realizes the gravity of her situation and how horrible she had been.. seems like towards the end of the video she started to feel real emotions and the hard act started to fall she almost looked remorseful ... I think she probably has remorse but her ego is in the way and she doesn’t want to accept that she fucked up big time ... unless she’s just pure evil cause that’s the only way a mother could do this to another mother

As a mother to another mother i just want you to know that what you are going through is one of my biggest fears!!! i told my son to be careful everyday he leaves the house to ride his bike and now to his son who is my grandson now i say the same thing to look both ways . I am so sorry this happened to your daughter. It is horrendous what you went through and on top of it i cant believe they jumped you. You can see in court her attitude she is rolling her eyes and the chip on her shoulder . She needs the MAX !!!! I know this was 5yr ago but thank you for being strong to share the story of your daughter. It was so beautiful to hear a little bit of how she was as a baby girl 🤍 she sounds like an amazing young girl who lived an amazing life with her momma and that can’t ever be taken from her or you. This was such a horrible thing to have happened to your baby I hope that you have found peace and love again and I’m so happy to know you got the strength to still be alive and being able to share your daughters story. One of my dad's best friends was on life support for almost a year before his wife let him go- I don't know the exact details because my dad doesn't like talking about it but he had a stroke and then when he was at the hospital for the first one he suffered from another one while trying to use the bathroom he collapsed but the hopsital staff was really negligent so it took a while for them to get to him (last I heard his family was gonna try to sue the hospital because there's a chance this would've never happened and he might've still been alive had the hospital staff done their job) and by the time they found him he had extensive damage to his brain and so was put on life support- my dad was shocked when he heard he passed because his wife kept saying that it looked like he was gonna pull through and be taken off of life support but when he talked to his kids the kids said their mom was kind of in denial and that he was in really bad shape. Obviously dealing with this happening to your kid is different then it happening to someone's husband and dad but I just know how much it messed his family up so I can only imagine how painful it'd be for a parent if it happened to their child and even worse their only child. 😔

It can happen ,my husband was dead for 17 minutes to 30 minutes and still when they got him to the hospital, put him on life support he was there for 11 days, he had anoxic brain damage. And would never regain consciousness.

The fact that the killer only got 8 years is so disappointing.

For example if she was TRYING to run her over, it would be a much larger sentence, but since it was wreck less and she wasn’t trying to run her over, it was less. Do you understand that?

It is better than she would have gotten in Australia. She would have gotten 2 years jail with parole after 12 months here. America has a better judicial system with justified sentences, compared to the the weak sentences the Australian courts give. In saying that, this soul-less woman should have received 20 years jail minimum. She was texting, didn't stop, unlicensed and more worried about getting to work than facing what she had done. Then her, her sister and boyfriends attack on the mother should have been yet another sentence all together. The mother who lost her daughter is a strong woman.
