That's fucking creepy and weird as fuck. Esp. for a black person. Luke 9:60 Christ said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. tfoh. That's for a carnal-minded person. Luke 8:52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. Luke 8:53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

Tae J A long time ago way before my auntie (the deceased) was 18 her and the rest of my grandmothers children was taken away by authorities dues to her being sick and not in the position to raise kids. After that my grandma continued to get and loose her kids time and time again until they were all 18. So when my aunt died it was like her daughter was being taken all over again. And since nobody was there to help or stop her she was able to make the decision to not let anyone take her daughter from her again. And still to this day she feels she. Should’ve kept the body instead of cremating it. But everybody else is just on the outside looking in nobody really knows what going on except for our family so don’t be quick to judge based off of a news broadcast that couldn’t even provide a full name. And a lady that live across the street but has never even had a full conversation with neither my aunt nor grandma. My auntie wasn’t killed she died in her sleep of natural causes. About 10 years ago she had a stroke and months before her death she grew a aneurysm in her head. The aneurysm was never treated witch caused it to grow and eventually she died. When my grandma came home after leaving early that morning she came home hours later and found her laying in the bed appearing to be asleep but when she felt her she was cold and that’s when she was declared dead. Instead of telling someone she made the decision to just cover her up and keep it a secret out of fear of her oldest child being taken away from her once again. You don’t know that feeling this is totally different from losing a regular family member

Mr. Brandon If anything, take away that we need to look after the older generation. Because if it were not for them we wouldn't be here. It also seems that our older generation is living harder than easier, because they have to take care of their kids and grandchildren and not the other way around. You know the old saying, give me my flowers now, not when i'm gone. Peace my brother!

Kenneth Tyner....for me, the takeaway from this sad story is how grief can affect a person, how hopeless grief leaves you feeling, which is part of the reason she probably held on to the body of her daughter. And how death is the end of a relationship with a person and how powerless we are to the reality of death. But there is hope, there is someone who defeated death and all of us who believe in Him will defeat death too and that person is JESUS CHRIST. So we who believe can grieve BUT with hope(1. Thess.4:13-18). My takeaway is the comfort of the gospel my friend, how much it is truly good news for us.

No it’s not normal for her to keep her body. But that was still her CHILD. Everyone takes grief differently, you never know how you will react if one of your children or grandchildren passed away. Never say never. I don’t wish bad on anybody but you can’t judge anybody when you haven’t been in there shoes.

Yes this lady needs love, support, and God in her life. When my 39yr old sister died due to cancer, it happend at home & I was privileged to feed to her the last meal. The next morning she was gone. all I wanted to do was lay down in the bed with her and hold on to her forever. Mother with tears in her eyes told me to get off my ass & be strong for my sis (the love) the body of my sister was exchanged with the body of my husband (the support) & I have no other choice but to look to God for strength.

angella bailey-barnett Yes tell your sister, every chance you get. I feel like God knew that I could not live without my sister. She died in 2013, it was the same year my husband proposed to me months prior to her death. I guess God set that up for me cause we have been together ever since. My sister was my best friend, all that I needed and I couldn't see my life without her. It was my husband that was the one who helped me accept life without her.

Right. People are quick to judge. Until it'd their loved one. We have mummies for a reason. Although the body is a vessel, it's still the tie to all of our 3d senses, and it's hard to let go sometimes especially in situations where death was not expected. My little sister had her first child, a daughter, within a few years of my having my first daughter, while I was pregnant with my first son. Her baby died at 4 months old under very suspicious circumstances while she was working at the vet clinic she was employed at. She had left the baby with the baby's father. My mother and sisters and I had never met her daughter, we were in Indiana. And she was back home in Texas living near our father. We immediately drove home to texas...and it broke my soul to only just get to hold her beautiful baby for the first time, in death, and not in life. It destroyed my family. The father was guilty. I knew he was guilty. Parents intuition. My father tried to get the authorities to look into it further, and it went nowhere. But to hold a beautiful little baby girl, stiff as a board, perfect little eyelashes, dressed to the nines, it broke me. Noticing the hemorraghing on her littke eyelids, and tiny bruises on her face, its disgusting to know more happened then what was told to the police and hospital....but no one wanted investigate. My family to this day knows more happened to the baby with her father. Either he was fckd up and accidentally rolled over on her, or she fell off the bed, idk. Something happened. And to have had my daughter with me, and be carrying my son, at the viewing and funeral, it killed me damn near. It hurt me to be around her and know how much it must have hurt my sister....she still hasn't really grieved. But she did go on to have a son, and finally, another daughter. And they're beautiful children, but it has left it's mark on her as a mother, as she's afraid to be close with them, and I understand her pain. To have someone just leave your life in any capacity especially traumatic, can beyond our human capabilities as mothers, at least in American culture. In India it's common to keep the bodies of loved ones displayed for around 12 to 14 days. They even shave them every few days. They pray and watch over them and ensure a safe transition into the ether.

There was the decomposing body of an elderly man who died of natural causes about 9 house up the street from mine back in 1996 and to this day that smell still haunts me. So how in tf did this woman live in a house with that smell... that long?! How did the neighbors not smell that? I'm like behooved here. Because decomposing body has a distinct smell that can only be described as "Death".

Everyone was just living in the building and did not know what the smell was. 4 days later it got downright awful. She called me crying saying police busted a door upstairs and there it was. cleared the whole building out. I smelled this guy from the sidewalk.
