One of my friends neighbor supported his wife in her career . She too had to go to USA on project after two years she took PR or something and sent her husband divorce papers this too is happening. The boys family was very supportive feels sad for such family. Nowadays girls too don't appreciate good in laws. Don't know what they are looking for in a husband and in laws.

Hai Nijo ... My situation is exactly opposite of this . I am an obstetrician , a very busy and restless career. I have delivered so many babies but still I need my own child to play with. I really need rest . I am longing to be a housewife. I need to spend time with my family , take care of my husband and all. But , The society keeps on pressuring me saying that , "You are a doctor, and you know how big is this position, how hard is it to reach here, and simply to quit it is the worst idea". My husband is the only person supporting me to quit my career, as he could see my stress and sufferings and also he is missing me at home. Is wanting to be a good housewife really that bad , Why is every woman wanting to go back of being successful always ? For me , The real success is living a stressfree life , If they could get that respect and peace as a housewife itself , then I think they are the most successful woman. After considering pregnancy, postpartum, nursing the child, undergoing high peak of stress for 3days in every month why still no woman is able to think they naturally deserve some rest than men ... I really don't know nowadays in the name of woman rights , such things have become a pressure to every woman. I respect and salute woman who are successful in their career. Their endurance level is really great. But, their endurance is becoming a threat for every other woman outside who wants to lead a normal life. This is evident now as nowadays, even in matrimony websites it is included that they need a bride willing to continue to work after marriage. Just imagine us asking , we need a groom who could deliver a child after marriage. I didn't want to hurt anybody. But , Just wanted to say every individual is unique , with different expectations...

I don't know why each MIL tries to be the main decision maker in a family including in planning a baby. Planning a baby is purely couple's choice and no one should interfere in this matter between them. This should be a common sense. I see many relatives, many mother in law's do the same. They keep on insisting about kids , trying to convince their son, putting pressure on daughter in laws. Shame !!

Women are not supposed to work. It's a duty of man to take care of her. Before marriage it's father responsibility to take care of her after marriage it's her husband's duty to take care of her and after husband it's her son's duty to take care of her.

@thakkumikku that's what I'm trying to say. Not letting women work doesn't mean that you're disrespecting her. But She's should have full control over her husband/son money. And I say full control doesn't mean that go and blow their money in unnecessary things. You should be able to fullfil your basic needs.

I dont understand why these girls are soo sad about what will the guys mother think!!?... Let her think what she wants. Why do you have to think soo much about what makes his mom happy!!?.. Just focus on your life, you are not a child, you are grown up, it's you who has to take the decision of putting a child in your uterus or not!
