Very good content.... Its better to let children marry the person of their choice. Parents can can verify and enquire the details of that person to make sure that the parson is genuine or not. Forcing girl/ boy to go for arranged marriage is a great risk. You will have no idea about the real nature..

Ok i understand that the girl married against her mother's wish...but i want to say that she is mature enough to marry the person whom she feels is the best. I know parents too play a vital role in this but do u agree with the thought that we are taught to be away from strangers and later we are asked to spend our whole life with them?? In Indian culture.... honestly even if a male was to marry against their parents desired choice, they could also be disowned. It's ingrained deep that the children are to follow every single thing their parents decide for them. Although it's changing, 80% of the population is like that still

Two things parents should never interfere in their children's life - career and marriage. One thing for all parents to remember - you are only a means for another life to come into this world and you are no creator. Everyone's Creator is God, period! Dont get God like feeling and expect children to be your slaves, they have a life and let them live it. I have seen many parents mentally and physically abusing their children in the name of discipline. This will never work and your children will end up leaving you when they grow old for causing so much scars in their life. You dont want your child to suffer from anxiety, depression, low self confidence, low self esteem do you? Remember, as a parent you are responsible for how you feel and stop making your children responsible for the way you feel!
