Mother Buffalo Keeps Lions Away As Jackal Eats Her Calf! | Maasai Mara Safari | Zebra Plains

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

A mother buffalo keeps big lions Half-tail and Logol away from her calf (not sure if the lions caught it and were chased off or if it was stillborn) but a jackal takes advantage of the distraction and eats what it can!
Now Logol has sadly passed on after fighting with three of the Enkoyonai males that rule the Offbeat pride

About Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos:
The purpose of the channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day. I would guess it was likely stillborn, or not killed by those 2 at least, as they are clearly content not to press the matter. What is the probable relationship of the smaller buffalo?..bond appears very tight. 2 magnificent males. Sad the one was short for this world but ..such is the life of the king. Thanks for posting.

I would rather not have seen such a horrible scene. I never thought that by the name of the video fed on Google that this was such a horrific sight. I thought may;e a jackel chewing on it. I mean didn't the mother hear the calf cry? Looked like the lions were just laying in the grass with the sight of other wildlife very near grazing and fluttering their tails. It just went straight into the chewing without any warning. Children could open that up accidently just going on Google. Why do you feel the need to show this.

This is a wildlife channel that shows wildlife in the wild. Not sure how you could have thought a jackal eating a baby buffalo wouldn't be a scene of a jackal EATING a buffalo calf when you chose to click. Children should not be unsupervised on the Internet as there are far worse things to see than this out there...
