I find it sort of funny, Henry wanted a son so badly to rule when he was gone, someone that was powerful and such, he never dreamed his daughter, Elizabeth would be that ruler, even though she was a female, if only he had not beheaded Anne and stayed with her and not killed her , then Elizabeth may have gotten married and had children and Henry's line could have carried on.

It doesn't work that way. Elizabeth's children by marriage would not carry the Tudor name. She was the end of the Tudor line.

The one thing I have never thought of, until right now...is that Elizabeth NEVER exhumed her mother's remains, and the wooden Arrow Chest still would have been intact, so to identify those remains, and have them properly buried in Westminster Abbey, within a dedicated and identified tomb. where she would one day lie. Strange...that the daughter felt no real blood (love) connection to her mother, no matter she was a young child...and to somewhat soften the murder-atrocity that her father, King Henry VIII had committed upon her mother. She let her mother rot in an unmarked grave...and yet, she sat on the Throne for 45 years... Some great daughter...and I never thought of this fact...only now watching this vid.

okay just no? remember that during the elizabethan age her father was loved by so many, she had to honour her mother in secret and that can be seen through certain pieces such as the chequers ring, her mother was hated by much of england and to honour her publicly would cause an uprising and potentially risk her life and the throne, Elizabeth didn’t have a choice, and it’s incredibly ignorant to assume she didn’t love her mother because she didn’t publicly dig up her grave, you have to understand the mindset of her people at the time of her reign and not look at the situation as we do know with many people knowing she was innocent, people did not think she was innocent until around the victorian era when her body was found, to the people of england Anne Boylen was a villain and a witch with 6 fingers, not as the mother of their queen, to the people of england elizabeth was the daughter of henry the eighth nothing more

it’s not strange at all you are just judging a situation from a 21 century perspective

@@kaylaross7565 Kayla...another opinion, is 'incredibly ignorant'? Get a life...your own opinion and how it played out, is one of many...or by your standards, could merely be quite ignorantly of how it really was...for James I as soon as he became king...DUG UP...(your words) his mother's (Queen Mary of Scotland) remains and had them entombed in Westminster....and didn't give a FIG about what the populace might think...for it was his mother...and Elizabeth let her mother rot away in a 'grave of disgrace' even though many, many people knew the charges were trumped up, to secure her death....and oh...her father was NOT loved by many...the populace and Court were in fact in terror of him, being his being responsible for hundreds of deaths during his reign,...way beyond his wives... If you want, I can catalog them for you...but it will take about an hour of typing.... (smile). Oh..one more tibit...she did NOT have a hand with 6 fingers...as proven by inspection of her remains...again, popular lore. The bottom line for that poor woman...was that due to Henry's defective sperm, he could only bring forth one live birth from a female, for any further impregnations, and the woman's white blood cells, attacked the sperm carrying the Y chromosome, after having been exposed to Henry's first biological load in of semen....and THAT is why every woman he had multiple impregnations with, had miscarriage's, or dead births...and even Queen Catherine of Aragon...(his first wife) gave birth to two male fully formed and termed children, but pulled dead from the womb... I could go on...but won't...but everybody knew that Anne B. died (was executed) truly) because she could not bear a live male heir. Ok..one more tidbit...Jane Seymour...she did give birth to Henry's male heir....but...died for it, also...as her own body tore itself apart, over those nine months, because of the defective Y chromosome of Henry...causing a downscale allergic reaction to his biological contribution. That boy...was also compromised, with poor health from the day he was born...and died of Tuberculosis, in his late teens... That I pondered a question, and you labeled me 'incredibly ignorant'?!?!?!? Really...really....

@@kaylaross7565 Kayla, even in Medieval times, many Kings and Queens, had their biological parents exhumed so to be placed in churches and cathedrals that were not built at the time of their deaths....many were. This has nothing to do, with a viewpoint from the 21 century...nothing to do with that at all...it is human compassion and the heart that transcends any and all ages and their social conscripts....it is a Human thing...not the age the humans lived in....

@@sesquashtwo you have to remember that anne bolyen was executed for treason against the very popular king at the time, digging her up would not have gone over well at all, elizabeth did not have a choice, you can’t compare that situation with any other time a monarch has moved parent, anne boylen was hated across england, it absolutely does matter what time period this was set it has nothing to do with being human cause she didn’t have a choice, she honoured her mother in many ways but all of which had to be secret or she risked her own revolution, so yes this has EVERYTHING to do with the viewpoint of the 21st century where the vast majority of people know anne was innocent but people back then thought she was a traitor, you CANNOT say elizabeth didn’t have compassion towards her mother for not digging her up and preventing a revolution, the age absolutely matters
