THIS IS INSANE, This seemed like the girl was planning on kidnapping there daughters by making it seem like they were hers the cribs and everything! The first step was to steal photos and making up storys and editing them, and framing them and the second was to kidnap them and maybe nobody would notice that they weren't hers! She needs to be arrested! If this continued it would be a disaster!.

If she broke into their house and stole a physical copy of a photograph it would be illegal, but what she actually did was just to repost photos. Even though she is obviously a liar, lying is not, strictly speaking, a crime.

If what you are thinking of is theft of intellectual or artistic property, that would require a copyright or involve making money off of the image. In this couple's case, the theft was only creepy, not illegal.

Definitely not the fault of the parents, but I also think it's not a good idea to post your children all over social media. It's the same idea as a tourist wearing flashy jewelry and clothing in a country that is known for targeting tourists. Is it the tourists fault for getting mugged? Definitely not. But people need to be aware that the world is not a nice, safe place. It's dangerous, and certain things put a target in your back. I won't post my kids on social media, but I also won't put anything from my private life online.

That woman, Ashley is crazy. And April is those kind of moms who ALWAYS post their kids. Love them smm 🥰

Kidnapping your own or someone else's child is pure evil. Kidnapping a child is worse than neglecting or abusing a child. Someone can serve up to 14 - 16 years in prison for this.

Posting images of under age children on Publix platforms is negligence putting their safety at risk. Parents should be prosecuted for this.

Theres someone doing something almsot identical to my friend at the moment. A man has made over 10 instagram accounts in less than a year, completely dedicated to photos of my friends toddler daughter, pretending to be the mother and occasionally her daughter. Hes even been sharing photos of other children in her family he can find photos of. "Digital kidnapping" sounds crazy at first but its terrifying to the people affecred by it, especially when the people doing these things are able to dodge laws just because hes not standing outside their home with a steak knife.

Putting your kids on social media is the weirdest thing to me. It’s a public platform. I’m so glad I got away from the mental illness that is Facebook, Instagram, etc.

This is why you don't plaster your kids all over social media. There's a lot of disturbed people out there

At a certain point, you'd think they'd make their Facebook profiles private or stop posting photos of the girls. Like this is the kind of thing parents warn teens about. Once you post something online, you lose all control of it. It'll be passed around the internet with all kinds of people looking at it as long as the internet exists.

Actually, no, it wouldn't. Stealing photos on a public social media platform isn't seen as illegal because they put the photos out for public viewing. Ultimately, that's why nobody has done anything to Ashley in this regard. The only way it would be illegal is if the image has an official copyright. It's sad but true.

Don’t post your life on the internet and if you do, make it private to your close friends and family only. Simple. If you think your children can be digitally kidnapped then digitally protect them better.

The new trend I have seen is share your pictures of your kids but put an emoji on them. It keeps those who follow you just to follow you curious about your life but don’t know what your babies look like. I am not a mom yet but if I feel the need to share I will only be doing emoji pictures but printing out pictures like the 90’s and send real pictures my family can physically have to put on their fridges instead of online where anyone can access them.

Thankfully 😅 the world knows her based on this going viral, we know she’s insane 🤣.

This is why my social media accounts are private,only people I know well are added. I dont post pictures of my children very often.
