Most Valuable Thrift Store Find In 7 Years! Goodwill - Salvation Army Shopping

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Most Valuable Thrifted Finds In 7 Years! Come Shop With Me! Meet a woman who has already passed away. Her name is Bea and her passion for painting, love, and art, lives on. I went to 3 thrift stores this week and got some lovely things! Art, dishes, pottery and a few life lessons. I take you through the items I found and then show you how I placed them in my home...and then I take you through my days hunting down the lovely women who painted the lovely Iris flowers I bought....and oh what a journey it was for me...and I so hope for you too.
Did Bea's story touch your heart? Was there a lesson in there for just you? Please let me know.
Bea was born in 1925 - that was the year my own Mother was born.
I no longer believe in accidents, so therefore I think I pretty much I had to film this video today and present it to you. The sun was shining, the dogs were running...a few ladybugs came out to say hello, Desi was all better running through the grass and I got to walk on an old ball field once again....the last time I was there it was 1967. At one point I looked up to the sky and asked " why me Lord"?.... I felt so humbled and grateful that I was crying such happy tears...I was getting answers to things I had pondered all my life....just standing there in the dust.
Do I have enough time left to do the things I want to do?
Will it matter?
Will anybody hear my voice after I am gone? Will I have made a difference?
Is it too late to hope for love?
Do 2nd chances really happen?
It was a great day....
Thank you so much for being here!
Please know I love you to the moon and back!!!
xxoo Have an incredible, happy, safe new week...
Please know we love you, Susan & Desi
HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!!!

"Having worked with Bea, Joanne remembers
how gracious she was and the best example of high values and work ethic.
We have many memories of the wonderful vacations with them and the many scramble games we shared. Their life was a love story and a great example of what true love was all about.

So all those years ago I learned, that trinkets are shiny and pretty...but unless they're being bought with love, they will never take you to a happy life...or a happy home.

Thank you Loretta for being here...I think I was unaware of what a profound effect we can have in touching people's lives when we are no longer on earth. This has made a huge impression on me...so many of us lead lives at times of uncertainty....questions like, do I matter? Will anybody remembers me 100 years from now? All this energy and effort I put out....did it help? did I ease somebody's pain? ...And now I realize....we keep on doing good way beyond our years on earth. And it also reminded me that I have a lot of time to get this right!!! xxoo Sues & Dez

Hi Susie from Annie. Thank you for this lovely touching video. The story of Bea the older lady she died couple days after her husband that is awesome, they really had a love tie. It is so good you tracked her place down and to find it is where you grew up nearby that school and church, I thought you should have gone inside the church. I think you need to go back there and learn more she is calling you to do something maybe to track down her daughter...and the fact that her son died when you dear man did at about the same time seems they were the same age and maybe very similar in many ways? Please do go back and try to track her daughter as the lady Bea only had those two children from what I gather she did have them with first husband who mistreated her and them. But she never had any children with second husband her true teenage love. It is a shame she never got with him sooner they maybe would have had children together? It is a real spiritual calling for you getting this painting and tracking her down. Please go back and re trace your steps again and find out more and find that girl she maybe had problems and took off she may have had drink or drug problems so search those places for her too, Her past abuse may be effected her she maybe does not know that Bea and her brother had passed etc. Weird things happen at op shops a while ago I found in local op shop a basket I had made in craft classes at primary school when I was 9yrs old and it still had my name on it in strong ink I used back then as I am 63yrs old now, so it was made ages ago. But I was over the moon to find this well made and still well preserved basket I made a few in the craft classes back then it was lots of fun then. I love op shops did mention last week got a bag of 13 tops for $5. Oh it made me so happy.

I can feel your emotion as you speak of Bea, trust me Susan this wasn’t a coincidence that you found her painting, it was meant to be found by you. What a beautiful story of Bea and her husbands love, maybe you found the painting so you could share it with your viewers, the church bells ringing, your grade school right near the church, I really believe Bea was with you that afternoon… This was my FAVORITE video, I love your thrifting videos, but this one was special Enjoy your watercolor, and the Jazz paintings are amazing too. Happy Mothers Day🌸🌹🌸

Hi to you and Desi, not sure how many men are moved by watching your videos, but I am proud to say that I am one of them. Your a very beautiful woman inside and out, love how you decorate and speak about matters of the heart, with a world full of so many frauds, I believe you are one of the most genuine people I've ever had the honor to be invited to listen to your story. Thank you for sharing your special story of Bea, as you merged present day into your past, heck, I was crying I'm not ashamed to say right along with you. Memories of people and places that make up who we are, keep us going and moving forward, so we can do those people that we lost proud. I just wanted to reach out and say, please don't stop making your heart warming videos, I very much look forward to each and every one of them as you share just how beautiful life can be, even to a sometimes jaded retired 63 year old truck driver. Thank you, and God bless you and Desi.

This is my favorite of your videos yet! I'm a 74 yr. old artist. Only now do I appreciate what happened 2 yrs. ago when a man who had "scored" a painting of mine at a yard sale. He hunted me down & finally found my art on FINE ART AMERICA's website where my art is sold. He e-mailed me through them & asked me to call him. I did & told him all about the materials, etc. I had used in this mixed media painting. He seemed so thrilled to learn all about the painting & my inspiration for it. I'm glad I was still alive but happy to know I, like Bea, will live on, in a way, past our years on this earth. Thank you for sharing this touching story.

Lovely story and wonderful for Bea to be remembered. I too found a large painting of a black dog on a sandy beach. I fell in love with it! I went home and looked up his name and he too had passed away. I think it was in his obituary that it mentioned a love for his dog. I absolutely treasure it and I know he'd be happy his painting fell into the hands of someone who cherishes his work. Lovely story! ❤️

Susan, You are a stunning example of an empath. Your talents are many and your audience loves how you deliver your stories with panache! The vase with pinecones stole my heart. I remember finding a pair of McCoy candlesticks with the pinecones. I couldn't afford them as the owner explained they were the real deal, McCoy! Then he went on to tell me some vases look like the real deal, however imitations. The imitations were created for floral shops to keep the price reasonable. I have a lovely collection. Bea's smile was so bright in heaven, it made the sunshine bright that day. Thank you for always making me smile!

I came away with the message from Bea to remember and enjoy the little things in life. As I have gotten older I realize it’s not the things in our life that is important but rather the people around us we love. Her beautiful picture was of irises in nature that grow freely, not things. It is an important message for all of us to remember and live by.

Hi Susan:). Just seeing this video now 10/29/23 and the whole event was a what I call a miracle. Just like when you were reunited with Cooper! That was a miracle-no other explanation. Those bells ringing and the sun after days of dreary weather ~not a coincidence-but a spiritual happening. What I find amazing is no matter what treasures you find~you always have the perfect place for them! It’s like you have unlimited space where I could never envision it! Those jazz paintings were meant for you as well and again they have a perfect home with a very special woman. Something else that gave me goosebumps is my grandfather’s name was Joseph Moore-he had a brother William. My grandmother’s name was Kathryn Louise-different spelling but still it shocked me…. Love to you and Desi❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗

The bells rang out in recognition of your visit for sure Susan as did the sun shine. I suppose you have to have an open heart to hear and appreciate this and not everybody has, but you have. It was karma. What a love story it was and how sad about her son just dying last year. Sometimes in life special things happen to us and this was truly a moment for you. I just have to tell you that you and all that you bring through your channel just brings me so much joy and richness. Our tastes are very much a like in decorating styles and esthetics as well. This video in particular touched my heart. The story of this incredible woman was so amazing, and I actually found myself in tears. I think perhaps this is one of those "God Wink" moments - something so very special that it can only be touched by the hand of God. That gorgeous painting is something that you will now treasure forever. Truly amazing. I can't thank you enough for all the precious and special treasures that you bring to us through your videos. I am a 68-year-old woman, married to my hubby for almost 50 years. We were never able to have children and we married when he first started his career in the US Navy, and then retiring after almost 30 years of service. We live a simple, humble happy life. I adore thrifting and unearthing hidden treasures that have stories to tell from a secret past. It is always the thrill of the hunt! Thank you again for all that you do. I appreciate you so very much.

What a beautiful story & video. I don't know what message Bea was trying to give you but I do believe her spirit was there with you. Just everything fit together for a very sweet & personal experience. I am so glad it was YOU who found Bea's painting. It's obvious how much you love it and how much it means to you. God does work in mysterious ways....and maybe one day you will figure out what made YOU be the one to have this experience. Love your jazz finds....absolutely perfect for you.

Nostalgia in its purest form... is earth shattering... I believe you experienced that and truly saw it for what it was. Your path crossing Bea's path... most assuredly. You were on sacred ground with Bea.... you were there, and possibly she was there... but Susan, the very minute fact that you embraced the moments... walking where she may have walked, hearing the church bells ringing as she may have heard them, and all the thoughts and emotions running through you... that my Dear... is hauntingly sublime. A story to be remembered. Susan, you are just the most beautiful soul I have come across in a very long time. God bless you richly and deeply... Hugs to you and Desi... Penny Sue

I love to rescue art from the thrift stores of artists known and unknown. I do a lot of research to find their story. Sometimes, I am successful and sometimes I'm not. I have a really nice painting hanging on my wall that was painted in '78. It is signed by the artist, but I can't find anything about her in my research. I wish I knew her story. So I honor her by displaying it on my wall and recognizing the beauty of it.

I have a rather large gisele print of piano bar, the one with both the man and woman. It hangs behind my bar and I just love it. There really isn’t anything like jazz nights and yessssss dressed up. I’ve often said that I was born in the wrong time period. These 20’s are just not as romantic as the previous century. Why you cried….. okay this is sappy but here goes. There’s an expression “ you can never go home again “. I think that about sums it up the best. Ten years ago we moved a thousand miles away to a place where we knew no one. The first trip back “home “, I cried and cried. So many feelings that run deep from childhood. This was the sweetest thrift trip and I pray that there will be many, many more. Happy Mother’s Day. I thanked my son when he called me for making me a mom. It all started on that magical day.

Happy Mother's Day, Susan dear. My Mother loved this quote: "I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore, that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it know. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again." Our legacy is to create a little bit of heaven on 🌎. Sometimes that's painting a mural, visiting an Elder or babysitting for a worn out Mother. Or walking a neighbor's dog 🐕 while they have to go in the hospital. Pulling weeds in a neighbor's parkway, if permitted, when they hurt their back. Just feeding the birds or leaving a thank you note 📝. Little blessings mean a lot.

I think life is like a jigsaw puzzle. You sort out the pieces, put together straight ones, and try to figure out the others. It looks like you can't even figure out what the picture is with all the blank spots. But slowly it comes together and more is revealed and you can finally see it! Then it's time to start a new puzzle.

You are a woman with so much love inside of you. You have one of the best channels on KZread and you can tell a story so beautifully I only wish I were as talented. I would love to have a channel but I live a boring life and I can't tell a story but I feel so lonely most of the time. I take care of my mom and don't work. Oh, Little Poet, this story was beautiful and I do not believe in consciences. Those bells were rung for you from the Lord to give you hope and joy. I have had encounters similar to this with people I loved and the Lord has given me proof that it is real. Bea is in Heaven now and she is so happy that you enjoy her art and she had no idea it would be you, a lovely, heartfelt woman who lived and went to school so close to the church she loved and worshipped at that would eventually own it. She would want you to have that painting and you do! You probably enjoy it more than anyone would! I am sure your heart is warm and jumping for joy, too. I love these kind of true stories, Susan. Till next week, give Desi a kiss and we will see you then......it's a deal!!! PS. You look great in that blue shirt or is it a dress? I love that color on you!

Because of finding your videos my life has changed, you and your videos helped give me hope when I had nothing left but tears. I bought a new home, it’s in my name and it was $33,000. It needs work, but it’s mine. It has a small yard, and I have a new rose bush to be planted as soon as I get rid of the poison ivy! This video, is a blessing, because I will always look at my new little home as something to cherish and to pass on when I’m gone. I want to leave the next owner with a treasure full of love and hope.
