In my experience, the first shot is by far the hardest to achieve in first attempt. the masse shot would be the 2nd and the "easiest" to make is the 4 cushion shot. What makes this runout unbelievable is that he executed those shots in the same rack in a tournament. That was such a show of perfect technic and iron nerves.
@RByrne
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'd have to agree. For me though the massé is the easiest then the 4rail. I think the first one he had planned the Carom and the cue ball coming back was a lil extra chance. He's an amazing player, at snooker too. I think he's retired from tournaments now though, and just plays cash games(I assume).

I know I will probably get plenty of stick for this but despite it visually being a great looking shot, it really wasn't that difficult. Half of the battle is just spotting it and so Chris deserves credit for that and then leaving the cue ball lined up straight on the shot after potting the ball before. Although what enhances the visual look of the shot is the number of other balls on the table but if the pathway is clear anyway, then it's just a case of hitting it straight and hard enough to comes off of the four cushions and have the speed to reach the pocket. If you set the same shot up but with just the cue ball and objected ball on the table and removed every other ball and played it, it will still visually look a nice trick shot but nothing like it does with all of the other balls still on the table.

Damn, the way Chris was calling his pockets reminded me of those Jordan & Bird commercials. Off the wall, between the two park cars, over the train tracks, through the woods into the the basket all net. Lolll 😅😂😃

He was definitely impressed by the shot; he is a very decent player himself :) The main thing with the shot is actually seeing it, any other player would have thought of a safety move i think.

LOVE IT !!!! 8 ball is so much fun!!!!!
Absolutely amazing!!!! I wish I could do that
That 4 cusion shot is not spectacular when the table is clear but with so much traffic there, pressure and everything, it's out of the world and one of the finest shots ever..that masse shot was remarkable although the 2 ball was tied to cusion but the distance and traffic made it ultra hard..and for the first shot, that was simply a great judgment from one of the best players in the world. Period.
