well, they can very easily memorize phrases and tones and apply their own meanings to it. But I wouldn't say there is enough evidence for them actually understanding a language. If you say 'put your butt on the floor' instead of 'sit' for the first time, they likely will not sit.

This was precious!! The cat blaming the other cat. I've had cats all my life, I've loved them and they have loved me.always come to me, Play fetch, play, cuddle with me...just look loving cats. The cat I have now knows what I'm talking about when we play and all things I've talked out above. She knows when I say let's go to bed, open the door..she knows, but she will NOT come to me when I call her. She will look at me like I'm stupid and floppy that little but on the floor like I'm not doing that. This May I have had her 4 years. (She is 4yrs 5 months old) adopted her from a rescue
