My 2007 LG washer, dryer and refrigerator are still going strong. My 2020 Miele dishwasher has been great, other than the touch sensitive power "button" doesn't always respond to the first touch or three.

How do Fisher & Paykel appliances rate?

I'm considering a Kitchenaid KDTM604 dishwasher and I like how it fits more than a Bosch and costs less. How's the reliability of Kitchenaid dishwashers?

why do you say LG refrigerators are reliable? What did they change about their compressors that used to go out within a few years? When I went shopping yesterday the appliance stores told me to stay away from LG refrigerators and that they are still not good. Why do you feel different?

Good question. We performed over 100,000 service calls in less than three years. LG is the most reliable brand we sell according to our own service stats. However, I understand your concern. From 2014-2017, they had compressor problems before settling a lawsuit in 2019.

You are playing down LG’s compressor problems , there is a new class action lawsuit , be frank and upfront .

I am extraordinarily sensitive to chronic service issues. Unlike any other channel you watch, we have to fix chronic issues under warranty at a loss. That said, LG had well documented problems from 2014-2017. That class action was settled in 2019. They probably have some issues even now, but less so than anyone else based on over 37,000 service calls we completed last year.

I just don’t believe that LG has fixed the compressor issues. I talk to many that have had the Lg compressors fail in the last few years all models made after 2020. How many years out are you monitoring the LG refrigerators?

Rick, service is an all consuming part of our company. If there were chronic issues, I would know it...and remove the line from the store

the lg compressors are trash though in the fridges etc and they don't stand behind them
