    It’s always interesting what people value in a flashlight. I have tons that have a tail and side button. I absolutely hate the side buttons. No matter the company u can never find it in the dark. I’ll take an exclusive tail switch any day even if u have to cycle through the levels. Cycling through takes a matter of maybe 2 seconds.

    Grabbed a Wurkkos FC13s last week on Amazon for $20. I love this thing. The UI is very simplified. It has great ouput, and the balance of flood and throw is amazing for a light in this price range.

    Same here, I got it from Amazon. It is quite impressive for $20. I think I clicked on it too fast ..I would of gotten the 6000k cw version..instead of this first option 5000k nw version.. but hey it's easier on the eyes. I also have the FC12 that's in cw. I love the ability to ramp it up and down so easily on the FC13S . I'm gonna pick up the magnetic tail cap for it on the Wurrkos site..It says it works on the regular FC13...so it should be compatible for the S too.

I specifically buy tail switch lights for a momentary switch. I simply cover lens when needing low light, no biggie and no blinding. You showing it has the ui it has prompted me to buy it as well as being 50% off

    I agree with you, In my opinion, if the light has a reverse clicky, it needs to not have mode memory. After trying the Wurkkos TD02 and the Wuben C3, for inexpensive lights I got the Convoy S2+ which doesn't come with battery or charging port, but at least the LED is what I want along with the ability to program the mode operation...........including no mode memory. However, as far as the forward tactical style tail cap on/off switch and side switch for mode adjustment.........I'm OK with those with mode memory because I like to use the momentary feature with whatever output I previously set it as.

    You do realize that you can cycle through modes with momentary half presses and also change modes without any full clicks don't you? Not hard. If using as defense light on nightstand, you should be able to remember you left in tactical mode,lol. Turbo and strobe can be accessed very quickly. Considering I paid 16 dollars and change tax in and delivered, this is a great light. Can't please everyone though.

    I have to agree. I use moonlight more than any other mode. I actually hate tailswitches, most of the time they're just not all that easy to depress and are in a weird angle. The idea of not having direct-access to turbo in a tail switch is completely defeating the point of having a tailswitch for me.

  • @Nathan49k

    @Nathan49k

    When done right tailswitches are awesome. Rarely do I find a good one. The Warrior Mini 3 has a great switch. I've noticed that smaller lights which fit in my hand are much better for tailswitches because you easily operate them with one hand. Nothing worse than having to slowly hike my hand up to the tailswitch on a heavier/longer flashlight to press it's button only for the flashlight to feel unwieldy in one hand. Two handed operation just sucks!

    What are you on about? In mode 2, Turbo is immediate but you keep saying you can't access turbo directly! You absolutely can! You can't access moonlight the same but in mode 3 you can cut the outputs down to moonlight, low and med so you don't have to cycle through the high settings. I found I like the SC28 but I don't like the mode change flash after 5 seconds as sometimes me changing light levels coincides with this flash and the light changes mode when I did not want to do that. So this is a flaw in the UI hence why they reduced the price and took it down off their website until they sort it out. Meantime it is still a very good light and currently at an excellent price so I bought 3 for myself and one for a friend & I have lots of other Sofirns with UI that you can quickly access Turbo and Moonlight but I still like this SC28 though it is different. I like both types.

    @@Stevens_EDC_Reviews Yes we are all imperfect but it did seem like a load of just bullshitting while having no idea of how the light actually works and that's not good but the worst is that it is such a fantastic deal so I don't think he should be recommending that people pass it up. I'm in the UK and we are only getting a 40% off coupon and it's still a brilliant deal for a very nice light. Beats my SC32 for power outdoors and beats it for nice broad neutral tone beam indoors and I like the SC32 a lot but the SC28 is a better light output performer plus bigger battery and the UI is far from totally unusable. SC32 is obviously better for compactness but the SC28 is still a compact 21700 and less bulky than my SC33. When I first got mine I hated the tail clicker spongy feel but now that I am used to it it's sort of like a fidget toy and light duty on the thumb. I think he needs to redo this review once he actually uses the light for a day or so.

    What are you talking about the interface is easy. It's basically the same as every other 15 flashlights I own. This flashlight is easy to operate. I own every thing from Surefire, Streamlight, Fenix and Nitecore. And I would put this 40.00 flashlight up there in quality with ant of them. And side switches just make it harder to operate in the dark, with this you just click through the modes how hard is that?

  • @Ghostbit

    Max, love the channel. Completely agree about quick access to moonlight and turbo modes being a must. Don't think it would have changed your opinion but apparently there are 3 programs (UI) on the light, including a tactical one. I'm thinking this might make a nice gun light with the tactical mode (which includes a strobe). I actually prefer tail caps to side switchers in my EDC lights, but as you point out, they just don't offer the same granular control over modes and my opinion is slowly coming around to side switches. Man, just $20! Jesus, that's nuts. The battery alone would be worth $5 or so, making the rest of the package $15? How can I say no... Edit: Also, you mentioned the Sofirin 77outdoor EDC as a better option. Turns out I own that light as the Wurkkos WK03 and can confirm its a great light. It's my current actual EDC, clipped to the side of the pouch that came with Sportsman's Authority orange Leatherman Charge+, which I bought when you did a video on it. You are costing me a lot of money, Max! Cheers! :D
