Not sure what American cuisine counts as tbh. My guess would be: True American things like Chicken Fried Steak and Chili Mixed with certain things from other countries like Mexico, Italy, China, and Japan who all score high on their own. Idk where they draw the line but I'd assume America would be a mix of American foods mixed with high players like those. So really its kinda unfair for a lot of countries lol

To explain the weirdness between Jacksonville and Miami, technically speaking Jacksonville has more people in the city proper, but Miami has more in its metro area. This is mainly due to Jacksonville having a larger land area at 874.46 sq mi versus Miami's at 56.07 sq mi for the respective cities proper. If we just go strictly by the metro area Jacksonville has 1,733,937 people versus Miami at 6,091,747 people. Regardless either one is top in the state it really just depends on which metric you're looking at. Also the main contributing reason both California and New York have such a higher percentage is due solely to their ports and the amount of cargo traffic that flows through them, that is just also due to the location of the state and ports, which California being convenient for Asian/western South American traffic while New York is convenient for European and to a lesser extent African. Texas and to a more major extent Florida pick up the remaining traffic from South America and Africa.

It’s not really shocking it’s only about 30% and that’s a complete state. While centralized cities in Latin America is a very real trend they are not as bad as people want to assume, the state of Mexico City only has 15% of the entire country’s GDP, now compare it to Spain with Madrid having about 30%, that’s one city and Brazil’s 30% is a complete state.
