it is funny to see andrew get so upset at being called out for being a boring wind bag lol.

When the Beatles started they did do and record covers. Overall they were more likely to write songs for others than steal them.

Was that a real pistol or air pistol? Either or, that entire clip sent my anxiety through the roof.

I don't know if you're aware of this, but if you know from Bobby's last birthday, he was asking for iPad or something of that nature and he didn't get it from anybody. I think that's why Andrew got it this year. I don't know if it's planned That way. But that is why Bobby is mad. Bobby asked for it, did not get it. And now some how andrew got one. That's really funny and/ or really mean. Whatever the case, very entertaining.

the beatles as a whole weren’t thieves but John and George were huuuuuuuge blues fans in highschool. and John actually stole some licks from Chuck Berry who later called him out for it but John tried making it up to Chuck for it by publicly stating he has stolen a “couple” riffs from him. i think the “stealing” era of the beatles is mostly from the older era but i’m sure there is still one or two more from a little later. love the beatles a ton tho i just wanted to comment after seeing Bobby and Andrew argue. bobby has to know they have stolen some songs man. also, i better see the new star trek argument on here 💀

Zappa is cool but his fans WILDLY overstate his influence. A band like King Crimson is WAY more influential, even if Zappa was just as if not more talented. Sometimes genius is just TOO out there to really cause influence in a medium like popular music. The mother's first album was much more a reaction to the beatles than vice versa.

The Mothers were a reaction to popular music at the time, but it wasn't like those were the first songs he ever wrote. The Beatles weren't the only popular band at the time. I'm saying specifically the album Sgt Peppers was literally, admitted by one of the Beatles, a Mothers send up

Other than the documentaries i'm pretty sure the beatles might have had ghost writers. But for the most part you can see the writing process.

@@claytonchaos578 are you talking about the Beatles or Elvis? I said I don’t think when it came to Elvis. I prefer his songwriters and he did actually write song. That being said, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did. The burden of proof isn’t on me tho. The Beatles, without doubt did not steal a single song. John and Paul were master songwriters after the pop crap, with George later becoming a master songwriter as well. Easily the most influential musicians of the modern age.

pretty much all early rock acts from the UK stole 3 chord rnr songs in their early years, but they also wrote a lot of their own original songs which are far more musically accomplished than most of what they stole. And it was more like they borrowed progressions than straight up stole. If they covered songs the writers were credited. But all music in all eras is somewhat like that. No one wants to listen to completely original music, it's all very similar when it comes to relative progressions in pop. Look at the Natalie Imbruglia progression in Torn, that's in about 100 pop songs.

It's totally believable on the last clip they don't think they're rolling fully miced and headphoned up.
