My family has owned 3 Cadillacs, and the shifter has always been like that. Just pull it twoards you, and move it to where you want it. I've never thought it was that difficult.

nah fam my moms 2011 ford has those in the head rests...they are shitty quality and break very easily. The screen breaks off and squeaks after time and the USB port on it broke as well...

@ 11:11, I think you were right the first time. Doug WAS exaggerating the challenges with the shift lever, and now you are as well. I started driving in the 80's when column shifters were common if not the norm, and I have no idea why so many people seem to have a big problem with a basic and easy shift lever. I've driven my 2016 Escalade for 17 months now, and have NEVER had the difficulty you displayed when attempting to shift gears. When I want Drive, I shift to drive, and the same with every other intended gear selection. There's a gate on the column shift, and if you let the gear selector spring back slightly toward the windshield while pulling down from park or reverse, the shift lever stops in Drive automatically, as designed, and as it has on every car I've ever driven with a column shifter. All that said, the column shifter being the same on the Tahoe, Silverado, and Yukon DOES seem out of place on an >$80K luxury vehicle, but having not had a column shifter car since 1990, and with more cars moving toward buttons and dials a shifters, I'm kind of enjoying the nostalgia of what's soon to be a bygone era.

Jordan Cunanan, The Mercedes SUV and The BMW SUV are domestic. Mercedes SUV are made in Vance Alabama, and BMW SUV, I mean crossovers,not true SUV are made in Duncan South Carolina, the Audi is a trimmed/ jazzed up Volkswagen.

I think its the easiest column shiftier from GM. You need to pull back farther for it to be smother its stiff so you don;t hit it while driving on accident.

Why are you complaining about the gearshift? Its a TRUCK, that's what GM uses on their TRUCKS and have for decades, I have a column shifted auto in my 77 K5 Blazer.

Middle seat pop forward so 3rd row passengers may exit easier.

Only 104k. I thought they would climb way past that. A Range Rover autobiography costs nearly 200k. I guess RR's are more opulent but damn that's alot cheaper than what I thought a maxed out Escalade would cost.

The second row pops up like that so if somebody wants to sit in the third row they don't have to climb over the seats.

Eddie Nunez You are getting fucked if you buy it new. That 2007 Escalade that everyone has that you're bragging about was never worth the MSRP. I've seen the non-platinum 2015 version already at 49k-54k used. The Tahoe I drive was at 40k new, and I just don't understand why?
