Nagpur to Pune used to take 17 hours by overnight bus in the mid-1990’s. Great to see things have improved so much!

forget about mid 1990's even until last year before Samruddhi Hwy was started it used to take 14-15 hrs via pune-nagar-aurangabad rd. anyway, thx for highlighting this. no doubt things have improved dramatically..

भाई साहब आप 110 की स्पीड में नागपुर इंट्री पाइंट से मेहकर इंटरचेंज तक लगभग 3 घंटे में पहुंचे हो जबकि मैंने 99 की स्पीड से इतनी ही दूरी 3.20 घंटे में पूरी की थी 13 फरवरी को। यह डाटा मैं ड्राईवरो के लिए डाल रहा हूं कि यह डिफरेंट समझ सकें। आपसे भी एक निवेदन है कि कृपया ओवरटेक लेन का उपयोग सिर्फ और सिर्फ ओवरटेक करने के लिए करें।

A new express way has been announced under Greenfield project Aurangabad (Chatrapati Sambhajinagar) to Pune, it will reduce travel time from 6 hrs to 2.5 hrs

Update after opening Sinnar exit. Better take sinnar exit and go pune via Pune-nasik highway 4 lane highway with less traffic compared to Aurangabad -nagar-pune. But distance is more.

Washrooms are available at all Petrol Pumps, but no provision of food across Samruddhi Mahamarg.

Are there any food mall or stoppages on samruddhi mahamarg ??

Food malls were not ready when we travelled, you might get some tea and light snacks at the petrol pump.

Thanks! Regarding your question, its last phase is yet to be completed, as per CM, it's expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

Bhai agar iss expressway ke bich me kanhi exit leke hotel stay krna rhega toh possible hota h kya pls explain me..coz 500 to 600 km continue agar kisi car nai chalna h toh kya kr sakte h

That's not possible as currently there are no hotels etc. on this Mahamarg. The only option is to take an exit and go to the nearest city. Although you can take a break at the petrol pump and there you may get tea and snacks.

From Pune if you start early morning 5 AM, then you should be able to cover it in 10.5 hours, as you will cover the traffic area i.e. Pune to Aurangabad quickly.

Maharashtra is the heart of India, Jai Maharashtra, Jai Hind! 👍

It is also a good option to take Jalna exit for going to Pune rather than Aurangabad as Jalna is not so far from the exit and if we take Aurangabad exit we have to drive in the city of Aurangabad for about 45-60 min. before touching the highway and it's irritating. And I think going to Pune from Shirdi interchange through Chakan route is a good option i think as the Chakan route is good.

I tried this recently via Jalna exit towards pune. but as soon as we get past aurangabad especially after 3pm , it is like city traffic all the way and end up caught in Pune-Nagar evening traffic until you reach home in Pune. you may end up 9-10 hours from Jalna exit to Pune. better to avoid this route after 3pm and agree to take Shirdi IC to Pune via Chakan
