Reading and understanding the Qur'an is not only the solution but also gives you happiness. There's a hadith, where Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was asked what could give the most happiness. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) replied that "Reading the Qur'an". He was than asked by the man, "How much happiness could the Qur'an give", to which our beloved Prophet had replied, "However much you want, so depending on how much you read. The more you read, the more happiness". It is absolutely fundamental that you also read or hear the surahs of the Qur'an in the language you understand. I personally read it in English so that when I read in Arabic, I truly feel that happiness reach me, especially in such difficult circumstances, where I am reminded that this life is not permanent, so those who do you wrong will be held accountable. For instance, Allah swt teaches us about the concept of Kifara- "The injustice you do to others, comes back to you"- Surah al- Baqara * What you do to others comes back to you *Had I not read it in Englsih, I would not have felt so empowered and confident. *This is one of many empowering and beautiful concepts. So please do read and understand what you read
