I appreciate the forewarning about the rapid-fire nature of the video lol! I paused and whipped up a quick spreadsheet so that I could tippy tap away in it while I watched the rest of the video with all the recommendations 💜

I have really no clue on what's happening in 2024 so this video was great 🙂 Got a lot of tips. Recently picked up the first book in the Emily Wilde's series so happy to hear about the second one!

I think the titles all being on the same day has something to do with the industry as a hole, and what day they tend to release books: I’ve noticed recently that it’s mostly on Tuesdays for the bigger releases. Not sure why that is, but I figured it’s the same how movies always come out on Thursday night/Friday to track opening weekend sales

I'm super excited about Natasha Pulley's new book! It's a queer sci-fi called The Mars House! 😍

The Book That Broke the World by Mark Lawrence, book #2 of The Library trilogy is being released on April 9, 2024. So many exciting releases!

The husky and his white cat shizun is indeed a novel, I'm so excited for it!

Thank you for making this! This video was awesome! I have a hard time sorting through all of the book releases out there to find ones that I am interested in! Also the quick and concise descriptors were perfect! It gave me just enough info to know if I wanted to look into the book further! Though it may have been bad for my wallet.... I ended up purchasing/preordering 6 books lol.

Wind and Truth is my most anticipated of the year, but Trials of Empire by Richard Swan, the 3rd book in the Empire of the Wolf trilogy, which is being released on February 6th, is definitely up there as well!

Thank you! No spreadsheet changes this year but I will be uploading just a different colour way since I'll be making that change for my own, but not other changes this year around 🥰

Love these video's always more nice sounding/looking books to add to the list

My most anticipated is Song of the Mysteries by Janny Wurts. It’s the final volume of a series I started reading in 1993 and I can’t wait to see how it ends. The other book I’m looking forward to is The Sunforge by Sascha Stronach. Its release date keeps getting changed - latest update says August. The first book, The Dawnhounds, had rather unique world building - mushroom houses and “alive” bullets to give an example.

The Whispering Night by Susan Dennard is my most anticipated and it’s coming out in November!! Cannot wait for it.

I submitted The Husky and His White Cat Shizun vol. 5 and I figured it would probably be too niche to include but it made me very happy to see it! ^_^ it’s a Danmei novel (which is more or less the Chinese equivalent of BL) and while queer romantasy is technically not inaccurate it makes it sound a little more lighthearted than the series has been so far =‘) it has me in a chokehold and it’s been torture to wait for the (official) translations to release ^^;

Also I was bummed about my birthday falling on a Tuesday this year, but a new T. Kingfisher book and the new belladonna book releasing that day makes it feel less depressing ^^

I'm not sure where the February release date for The Strength Of The Few came from considering the author isn't done writing it yet and says he'll probably submit his manuscript to the publisher in March 😅
