Mosin Nagant vs. Seattle Police - Shooting Breakdown

Before he crashed his pickup into a federal building in downtown Seattle, before he fired a rifle seemingly at random, before he was fatally shot by Seattle police officers, William Michael Stephens scrawled in permanent marker all over his garage door about how there was a plot to kill him.

I don't know if "de-escalation" is the right word but when a guy is lying on his back trying to shoot himself in the head and then runs at you without pointing his weapon or making any attempt a violence, HE CLEARLY is trying to suicide by cop. They could've tased this guy or tackled him to the ground; he made no attempt at violence at any point. @undrgrnd734 get over yourself. The USSR Stavka had an unbelievably egotistical defense strategy that revolves more around their feelings than actual tactics and preservation of human life. “Not a step back” was literally the stupidest thing to do when the ability to fall back was their BEST advantage. They had tens of thousands of km to fall back to, all while the Germans hopelessly stretched their supply lines and ran out of troops to occupy the insane stretches of barren land. Instead they performed what is essential human sacrifice on their soldiers and civilians (refusing to let them evacuate Leningrad and countless other cities) and ensured that their casualties were exponentially higher than what they had to be. They literally sent tanks into battle at the beginning of operation Barbarossa without ammo, and told them to simply ram enemy tanks. They sent guys into battle without rifles just to get mown down. And their heavy lifting can mainly be chalked up to pointless casualties. Without Lend Lease and invaluable British intelligence information, the USSR would have most likely been forced to sue for peace, and cede insane amounts of territory. Also, the USSR had just got done invading Finland and Poland, and in the latter of which they massacred insane amounts of civilians, so they definitely aren’t the good guys.

Fr. There needs be more awareness for mental health. Its clear that this man either had noone looking after him or noone cared because he was a nutcase. The true issue is our society has lost all sense of community. Welfare checks should be a thing people are ready to call onto people who look like like theyre having mental issues. THATS when social workers and therapists should be present. Make it a friendly visit and talk with the person, try to bring them in for medication and treatment. America is having massive issues with mental health problems that just go unchecked and this is what it leads to.

This shooting could have been de-escalated. First of all, an orchestra could have been summoned to play soothing night music, from the safety of the balcony above.. Second, the entire psychiatric wing of a local hospital could have been taken to the site by limousine, outfitted with Kevlar vests, and allowed to approach the maniac. to calm him down. Third, none of the police should have been present, and the maniac should have been allowed to vent his fear and anger over the betrayal by his pastor, the Brazilian secret service, and Jodi Foster, by firing rounds at an armored vehicle marked "THEM." Fourth, a giant butterfly net carried by a military drone could have been deployed to immobilize him. Finally, why was there no marksman nearby with a rifle firing nonlethal tranquilizer darts, as shown in the excellent police procedural movie franchise Jurassic Park? Instead, this valuable citizen was permanently cured by Drs. Smith and Wesson, Ruger, and Glock, incurring the wrath of sensible people everywhere, who understand that a mentally ill lunatic with a rifle firing randomly in a city at night ....just needs counseling and therapy and a puppy. At taxpayer expense. Forever.

They do not have to wait for you to shoot at them before they can shoot you. They can punch you even though you never touched them.
